This forum keeps talking about the power Trump has in the GOP, but his endorsement history doesn’t support that.

Maybe part of it is Trump, but if a candidate sucks, you can't do much about that.

Cameron is black he wasn’t going to win Governor. Ohio isn’t surprising either since people who are pro life never even campaign and Reeves is a lock.

Those eastern counties surprise me. I thought the area went red years ago.

We’ll find out Trump’s power in the GOP when the primaries start.

=====================================================

I think it will be a whole lot less about Trump's "power" and far more about
(1) Not wanting the communists and fellow subversives in this country to dictate who we can vote for and
(2) Trump's policies he was able to put in place worked very well for a majority of americans and this country in general, despite record breaking government/media corruption and non-stop 4+ year coup against him while running/in office.

No kidding. Since 2018, it’s been pretty bleak. I guess the Virginia governor in 2019 was good. But that’s about it. I guess our slim majority in the house is good but they are not doing much. Good times. 😂

I only paid casual attention to Kentucky this year - but maybe it wasn’t Cameron’s year. He was running against a popular Dem incumbent with a lot of money.

Perhaps he should have waited four more years to run. It would have been an open seat and his chances of winning would have been better.

With tonight’s loss, it dims his future as a candidate.

How does Manchin keep winning in WV? The same situation with Breshear.

What you meant to say is, who’s tired of rigged elections.

The GOP has huge problems that aren’t related to Trump , but many find it easier to find a scapegoat than address issues that your voters want, but GOP donors don’t want.

The GOP is a dying party that no longer fits with the new political realities.

The GOP elite refuses to embrace the fact that they are the working class now. The donor class continues to run the party like it’s 1985.

The governor's race has the Dem getting almost twice as many absentee votes as the Republican - while all the other state level races are pretty much even in number?

No corruption there...Nah....

Simple - the governor's race had fake absentee ballots.

Look at the the delta in the governor's race compared with the other state races. See an issue?

Trump is the leader of the GOP but, unfortunately, he isn’t much interested in leading. He does give entertaining speeches, tho.

Louisiana will now have a Republican Governor so that is a win.

I’s more complicated than that. My wife is Republican and conservative.. and, she was fully prepared to vote for Beshear. He’s empathetic... and likable.

There weren’t very many absentee ballots in this race

They've figured out how to cheat and win. And since nobody is doing anything about it, prepare for the worst in 2024.

They’ll get the house

Doesn't look like it.

Current projections for Virginia's House of Delegates are Dems 50, GOP 44, Undecided 6.

Looks like the Democrats will finish with 51-52 House seats. And the Senate.

Goodbye to Glenn Youngkin's presidential ambitions.
