I live pretty much on top of what was the Santa Fe Trail on land once resembled this photo, but is now covered with subdivision housing, roads, shopping centers, schools, and trees, which have obliterated the outlines of the land and horizon. (I still have a good sunset and yes, enjoy the trees.)
Once upon a time.....until the knowledge of my limitations started to bite my backside.

If that scenic view has been eradicated, we know One thing... that result you describe CAN NOT be caused by American population growth and expansion. A couple of generations of Americans gobbling birth control pills, and facilitating abortion, has obliterated our birth rate for increasing the population of more traditional Americans.
Heck—the churches even loved the pill and say far too little on the bloody project against the most vulnerable innocent.
That liberating pill-tool used-to-reduce Americans surely prepared us for total take-over. That primary cause remains in happy, liberating, and effective use Today, exacerbated by 8-10 Million Illegal Aliens invading through our Open Borders, following the Enemy-induced plague & VAX sheme—another version of “Drop and Roll”, wherein they *drop the ballots and *roll the tabulator.

The Coup de Gras fixed it where The UniParty finally fixed it so we STUPID PEOPLE couldn’t even register a complaint against their long-game scheme. GRRR
We are good, however, at waiting and being told to wait—years now. One might dare to reason that American history should have brightened our Actions decades ago... SO, they REWROTE even THAT. Dark hilarity.
It’s all too ironic, this exercise of living in self-made consequences—not too different from a feature cartoon. GRRR.
