I’m sure that they will install electric heater element’s to heat when the temperature drops below the operating range of the heat pump.
Where do I send the sympathy card?
Which will be electric.
The Bidung regime is mandating electric heat over gas without giving a thought of where the extra electricity will come from.
A recipe for disaster.
Just call BR-549 and make a small donation.
These people are mentally ill. Trying to address issues with them is pointless.
A much bigger issue is that they attract political support, and lots of it, from voters who “follow The Science™”, and who listen to these people in the first place “because they care”.
Having a government chosen by people who “follow The Science™” and who choose leaders “because they care” would continue to be a life-threatening problem even if the climate hoax ended tomorrow.
I think you may miss the salient point.
Those attending the meeting are there to get paid. To justify their jobs, they get paid for attending such a gathering of like minded souls who are also getting paid to be in attendance
Bert, I fear they would do it for free.
I know, I know.....
I have a leftist niece and she thinks getting paid for going to such meetings is something of a job perk.
Your points on heat pump efficiency are entirely accurate, but you didn’t include an important limitation of heat pumps. As the outdoor temperature nears freezing, frost can form on the outdoor heat exchanger. This reduces air flow and decreases the efficiency of the unit. At some point, it will cease to work. There is a built in defrost cycle in newer units, but all of the defrost energy further reduces the efficiency. When this happens, backup resistance heaters turn on but these are much more costly to run than the heat pump alone.
Sounds like a stinky project.
No, that’s true. 300 under fairly good conditions and even up to 600 under optimal-ideal conditions and system efficiencies. That’s the whole point of a heat pump.
LOL. The tanks were for the diesel fuel for the generators that ran the pumps if the electric went out.
