Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey is reportedly at risk of losing his $40 million sponsorship deal with Weet-Bix, an Australian cereal brand by the Sanitarium Health Food Company, amid the NBA investigation into allegations of Giddey having an inappropriate relationship with an underage girl.
The 21-year-old Aussie has been removed from the company’s social media accounts, according to Code Sports. A spokesperson for Sanitarium said the company is aware of the situation, but said it had yet to cut ties with Giddey.
“We are obviously aware of news surrounding Josh Giddey and are waiting for facts to be confirmed,” the spokesperson told Code Sports. “We are in contact with Josh’s management team and waiting on further detail at this point.”

Too bad he’s not an American citizen. Some people can become President whil acting inappropriately with underage girls.
If he had a coach, he should have pointed out to him the consequence of this relationship.
Although, there isn’t much difference in age between 21 and 16. 21 year old boys 16 year old girls are around the same age of maturity.
When I was 16+, the saying was “15 will get you 20” (20 years in prison), and you know what? That law was enforced.
I think in at least 19 states 16 is the age of consent.

I’ve known PLENTY of underaged people who have had relationships, and it didn’t cost any of them $40M.
Giddey was photographed dancing with the same girl at a club that you needed to be 18+ to enter. So either she had a fake ID or the allegations are a baseless smear campaign.
Wander Franco is going through the same thing. Basically the same type of plaintiff and complaint language.
It has happened many times before.

He isn’t underage, he’s 21. The alleged girl is.
