Does "batch nunmber one" represent the very first vaccines given?
My recollection is that in the U.S. the first batches were reserved for the very elderly; that is, those over 75. I wasn't eligible to receive the earliest available injections.
I will leave it to somebody else to calculate what the survival rate of a random population of people OVER 75 would be after a couple or three years. A 25% death rate might just be actuarially expected.
