We took a look at a few new laws that may, from new rules for building affordable housing to how you interact with police officers and new emission standards for certain small engines (think leaf blowers).

Making it easier for faith groups and colleges to build affordable housing on their land Leave for reproductive loss Police officers have to say why they stopped a driver Expansion of traffic speed cameras Increasing city council member pay Ending suspensions for “willful defiance” LGBTQ+ cultural competency training for teachers Adding Asian American history, media literacy to California’s K-12 curriculum Requiring owners to clean up “orphaned” oil wells New emission rules for small gasoline engines

You must be one of those California fools that think people in Texas actually give 2 S#$#S what Democrats do anywhere for any reason......

>>>”Suspensions are still pursued by the superintendent or principal for actions including, but not limited to, physical injury to another person, unlawful possession or use of an intoxicant, and attempted damage to school property.”>>>

Great. “pursue” suspension, process the paperwork, set up the meetings and reviews, submit the request to a committee, and wait for their review, and hopefully, before summer......Johnny is suspended. In the meantime, he’s stabbed a few students, and a maybe a teacher or 2.

Good luck with the new law.

“The madness always starts here”..........True words & there’s no good reason for it. Many of California’s crazy ideas just don’t work in other states & there’s no good reason to adopt many of them. They are a state & they have the right to enforce certain things, but they should not force them on other states. Of course, the feds have to allow that, don’t they? I guess that explains the lack of common sense.

Why doesn’t one of these companies stand up to this dictatorship of a minority and just tell them if they don’t like the product that they just won’t sell them in commieformia. Their increased sales in other states will more than make up for any losses in the fruit/nut state.

“You must be one of those Californian’s who actually believe you influence the south and heartland not realizing the joke is on California.....we are amused by California. They are a spectacle to us.”

Are you saying that states like Texas will be able to continue selling gasoline lawn mowers AFTER they’re outlawed at the federal level?

If so, how would that work? Smuggle them in from Mexico? Good luck with that.

Every day all day long I hear leaf blowers all around me. I can’t wait for them to be gone—the noise and pitch is maddening. It’s never quiet in my neighborhood now. In the city there is traffic noise and sometimes even jackhammers but it’s bearable actually. In comparison.

CA is a one party dictatorship.

The Rats have a super majority in both houses, Gruesom as governor and all the statewide officers.

They can do whatever the hell they like.

Republicans are an extinct species.

hold on there sir. This is my home state but i hate this place. Unfortunately as has been pointed out above, we are a huge state and a lot of companies will let this state bully them. Other state will be bullied into what CA has instituted.

“Ever since I used to go to the drags in Irwindale as a kid....I never had a problem with the smell of gas and oil and burnt rubber. And now in Texas......I love my gas lawnmower. The power gets through that tough grass and mulches those leaves with no problema. Not sure an Electic mower could do it, especially if I miss a couple of weeks.......it’s thick”

My 60v Greenworks mower has as much power as my 6.5 HP gas mower did. California neutered gas mowers years ago.

I maintain and groom an acre lot. I’ve tried all manner
and sorts of battery powered lawn/yard equipment. A
minimum of three batteries fully charged for each to
accomish what one small tank of gas for each can get
done in half the time.
Walk an acre to the garage to grab a fully charged
battery, plug in the dead one. I guess it’s great
exercise, but I’d rather go fishing.

I have an electric mower and I like it, but I don’t have a huge yard so that is a factor.

It’s a much different situation than with an electric vehicle. If the mower or other yard tool quits from a dead battery, that’s a signal that it’s time to relax with a cold beer while the batteries recharge.

If the EV quits on the road somewhere, that’s a much bigger problem for you.

Merits of one over the other aren’t the issue.

The issue is Deep State telling you which one you’ll use.

You okay with that...?

Interesting. How long will it last before the battery dies? I’m not opposed to electric mower, just wasn’t sure if it had the power.

I dont give a phuc what deep state says or doesn’t say.

It never entered the equation for me.

Further, while I tend to be a contrarian, having a knee-jerk reflex to always do the opposite of what an adversary says they want you to do, makes you very predictable and controllable by your adversary.
