People need to get out of the habit of thinking pills will fix everything.

They need to get right with their diet, their exercise, and their sleep.

Today, for any general health issues, all doctors, and patients for that matter, is want to treat symptoms, and not the underlying causes. Drug companies are the same way - there’s no money in actually solving problems and actually healing people.

...maker of the blockbuster weight loss drug...

It's not a blockbuster weight loss drug. It's a type 2 diabetes drug.

It helped lower my A1c to where I am in the prediabetes zone.

It got mine down to 5.9 at last check. I lost 80 lbs over a year and a half before going on it. I lift weights four times a week and have noticed no muscle loss.

Last year MIL was in the hospital.
Her heart doctor said to take her home and enjoy what little time she had left.
A week later, at her Dr appt, he said that some of the secondary effects of jardiance may help her.
It’s been over a year, and she is in better health than before.
She has a problem with water retention, not good for congestive heart failure, but she is still going strong.
It’s been a miracle drug for her.

If Stan Chesley hadn’t been disbarred, I’m sure he would be right on this. He was a first-class shyster who made millions suing anyone and everyone. Google his name to read more about him. Here’s just one example:

“Chesley was named in a lawsuit related to the settlement of fen-phen litigation in Kentucky. Former clients sued Chesley and three other plaintiffs’ attorneys for allegedly breaching their duties by diverting most of a $200 million settlement fund to themselves with only one third to the plaintiffs.”

BTW — He is married to Susan Dlott who is a judge appointed to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio by Bill Clinton. Grifters gotta grift and stick together.

Title me child of the 50s so... Yes, there is lots of information available these days and a WHOLE lot of it is just WRONG. No surprise, my wife can find support for any position she wants to take or thing to believe she wants to... all from some kind of "valid" or "reputable" source on the galactic web or some book. >P> I was looking for information about what foods irritate and soothe the gall bladder. Even within the same articles from reputable sources there are contradictions. Eat peanuts says one because of some study of women who ate peanuts and had a lower incidence of gall bladder irritation. Without doubt and without exception I can tell you that eating peanuts will put my gall bladder in full revolt. Peanut butter is good for the gall bladder and fats are bad? Ever open a jar of peanut butter that has been on the shelf very long only to see the oil floating on top of the creamy peanut butter? No, I don't care what kind of fat it is the body sees it the same for digestion.

So yeah, lots of information available but with no filters and it is on the galactic net so it must all be true, mustn't it? And yes, most generations today have lost or never had the ability to think critically and with discernment fed by a healthy dose of suspicion if not cynicism.

And here, most of these victims probably could have gotten by with eating meat, fruit and vegetables and avoiding large amounts of bread, cereals, sugar, etc. Maybe only 1 king cake each Mardi Gras.

Yep. I have no clue why anyone would take a pill to lose weight. I watch that commercial and think they are the stupidest people on the planet. All prescription drugs have side effects.

Just eat good food and count calories.

My best weight loss strategy is to survive on marshmallows and vodka for a week or two.
Works every time.
Less side effects.

Ozempic was never a weight reduction drug. It was for diabetes and carries a number of possible side effects:

inflammation of your pancreas, change in vision, hypoglycemia, (especially for non diabetic users), kidney problems (kidney failure), serious allergic reactions, gallbladder problems, and the most common side effects of Ozempic® nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach (abdominal) pain, and constipation.

Wow...can’t overweight and Type II diabetes folks simply stop eating ANYTHING white (flour, sugar, IOW KETO).....exercise for at least 30 mins/day, get plenty of sleep and sunshine/Vit D, intermittent fast, etc????

I hear the “side effects” of doing the above are good healthy weight, better outlook on life, etc.

Beats the side effects you’ve listed, for this Ozempic carpola.
