Kurt Russell: Gun control won’t stop terrorists

Actor Kurt Russell says the notion that gun control laws can prevent terrorist attacks is “absolutely insane.”
{mosads}“If you think gun control is going to change the terrorists’ point of view, I think you’re, like, out of your mind,” Russell told the movie blog Hollywood Elsewhere on Monday.
“I think it’s absolutely insane,” he added.
The “Miracle” and “Escape from New York” star said America needs to instill fear in its enemies, rather than cower before them.
“The problem — the problem that we’re having right now to turn it around … you may think you’ve got me worried about what you’re gonna do? Dude, you’re about to find out what I’m gonna do, and that’s gonna worry you a lot more,” he said. “And that’s what we need.”
“If I’m a hockey team and I’ve got some guy bearing down on me as a goaltender, I’m not concerned about what he’s gonna do. I’m gonna make him concerned about what I’m gonna do,” he added.
Russell was also dismissive of the notion that people on the no-fly list should be banned from buying guns.
“They can also make a bomb pretty easily. So what?” he said. “They can also get knives and stab you. What are you gonna do about that? They can also get cars and run you over. What are you gonna do about that?”
“What are you gonna do? Outlaw everything? That isn’t the answer.”
Russell stars in “The Hateful Eight,” directed by Quentin Tarantino, which opens Christmas Day.

Is Goldie Hawn a Conservative????
I don’t think either of them is a conservative. I think Russell is more of a common sense kind of guy and more of a “moderate”.
Kurt has been pro 2nd amendment and a passionate hunter for some time.
I live in LA. I’ve never met Kurt or Goldie but I hear they are both nice, down-to-earth people.

Polk County, Florida Sheriff Grady Judd and several deputies, years ago, were trying to arrest a criminal who opened fire on them. A liberal reporter very caustically asked why the perp was shot 28 times. Sheriff Grady responded: “We ran out of ammunition.”

For somebody who has been exposed to the perversion of Hollywood from a young age, he’s turned out to be a decent individual, and I’ve always enjoyed his acting. One of my favorite movies is “Big Trouble in Little China.” And then there’s the movie he and Goldie did titled “Overboard.” Funny as hell. Just watched him and his son Wyatt in “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters” on AppleTV. Wyatt Russell portrays his father in the 1950’s flashbacks.
