Wait until they get a job dealing with international companies when you have to be on a conference call at 5am or 11pm, sometimes on the same day.
I used to show up at two in the morning on occasion to attend a meeting with our German branch.
Let's not even talk about the years I went in at four in the morning five days a week so when people showed up at the store at eight they would have nice, fresh, delivered that morning, milk.
Never had to do those on the same day, thank goodness, but yes, I did plenty of international conference calls at 5:00 a.m. or 10:00 p.m.
These poor little beleaguered Gen Z employees. If I had an employee tell me he couldn’t show up for a meeting because of a workout class, he’d be gone.
Amen to that ... running geo calls makes my eyes cross, not just from the timezones I am working in, but having to deal with heavy accents and pidgeon english while trying to take notes.
Yeah, those were the days. I don't miss that at all.
