Great question. So I did a little digging. Evidently Ike employed only Border Patrol agents during Operation Wetback.
The whole thing was handled efficiently. Quick arrest, quick deportation. And Mexico fully cooperated. Hard to see any of that happening today.

This COULD be one of those ideas that is floated in hopes that some illegals — and let’s be real, not all of them are necessarily delighted with their tenuous existence in the United States — will self-deport, rather than face a deportation “roundup.”

I just took a second look at the Tweet. It’s not by Miller at all.
You've been in a coma and it's important that you drink a lot of water for a while. Illegal alien invaders are now called migrants and immigrants; brought in, protected and financed with OUR tax money by Non-Government Organizations who serve as proxies so our government can deny responsibility.
Meanwhile the real immigrants trying to get here through legal means are given as little help as possible as their adherence to laws and rules point to little chance that they'll provide the Democrat votes the illegals are expected to once the next mass amnesty gets passed.
That's what has been going on and I'm sorry you had to awaken to this national tragedy.

We've had right laws on the books since before I knocked around here 20 odd years back supporting the Minutemen movement and Tom Tancredo (who they just plain burned out).
