The tweet is unnecessarily provocative. Miller needs to elaborate on what “private” means there. If he means Trump will federalize the National Guard, it’s not a bad idea.
And since millions of illegals have already flooded the country, at this point perhaps only the Guard can fix the problem.
But if Miller means the US military, no. That’s one Pandora’s Box that must remain closed. And if Miller means some sort of posse, again no. Posses are not meant to cross state lines on law enforcement duties.

Stephen Miller has been one of the best (if not the best) hires made by Trump. Miller should have had a full cabinet level position in the Trump administration.
I remember Miller getting interrogated by Chris “Barney Rubble” Mathews on MSDNC, and he ripped Mathews apart, piece by piece, line by line. Mathews was speechless and practically whimpering into the camera. A shapeless blob of a man.
Miller would be excellent as the director of DHS.
