The Mises Caucus — a more radical libertarian faction organized around the work of Austrian economist Ludwig von Mises — has been a power center within the party since its endorsed candidate, Angela McArdle, won the national committee chairmanship in a 2022 landslide victory with nearly 70 percent of the vote. It controls the majority of the delegates who will vote on the party’s presidential nominee at the national convention in May.
While McArdle has suggested that the party may be open to a Kennedy bid, last weekend the Mises Caucus came out formally in opposition to his candidacy, making it unlikely that Kennedy has a real shot at the nomination. McArdle did not respond to a request for comment.
Hard luck.
The reason they wont let him run on the LP ticket is that he has forcefully supported Israel
Maybe it's more like he disagrees with Libertarians on at least 75% of issues?
Ballot access. He wants to but they wont let him
I think he is already on the ballot in some states as an independent. Can he go back and change party status once he is on the ballot?
Trump’s numbers improve a lot when RFK jr is on the ballot, he gets some independent women voters-next to blacks that is Trumps weakest demographic
His authoritarian leftist views might be a problem for libertarians too.
But he’s also neither a lowercase nor uppercase-L libertarian.
He’s also not a libertarian.
Good, he’s nothing like a libertarian.
He’s a radical big government leftist.
We don’t need another Kennedy any where near The White House or DC.
They’re a bloody pestilence the whole bunch of them. And their relations and in laws.
RFK Jr has the resources to get on the ballot in all, or almost all states on his own. Plus, he has real support. Around 10 percent at this time. Polls indicate RFK Jr hurts Biden a little more than he hurts Trump.
We should help the Green Party and Cornell West get on the ballot. In 2020, neither the Green Party nor Kanye West were on the ballot in AZ, GA or WI (nor most other battle ground states), and that probably accounts for Biden’s very narrow victories in those states. The Green Party is currently petitioning in AK, HI, MD, MO, NV, OH and SD. If you have the opportunity, give a sig. I don’t know that Cornell West is petitioning anywhere.
RFK is a Big Government Libertarian.
Looks like “Camelot” has lost its luster..
But they have been around for a long time and have done a great job with ballot access issues. Lots of people identify with them. Lots fewer actually vote for them.
Odd, Nikki is a democrat and she runs as a repukelican.
Would you buy a used Camelot from that man?
True. And he's not even a liberal, at least in the classical liberal sense. With the exception of his stand on the frankenshot, he'd be much more at home in the Chinese Communist Party (which, for all practical purposes, is rather fascist).
The Chinese Communist party is not just Fascist but has racial views that make it Nazi-like. There have been some speeches by CCP officials and military where if you Aryan for Han Chinese they could have easily been given by Goebbels or Himmler.
Has RFKJ expressed serious interest in running as the Libertarian candidate? Or is it just sort of a hypothetical that’s out there.
He’s not a “libertarian.” He’s a neurotic bag of Kennedy trash, except even more leftist and more psychotic than the others.
