It's not hatred of religion. It's hatred of Christianity.
Hollywood is actually quite tolerant of all other religions.
Islam, Buddhism, atheism, Wicca, paganism, shamanism, New Age woo-woo spirituality, and of course, Judaism. All are treated with respect.
It's Christ alone who offends.
I would say it's the people who believe that they despise.

After all, Judaism could be called the „parent“ of Christianity, that goes especially for its very high ethical and moral standards.
