Wagner. Not a nice man, but what an opera composer! Magnificent.
But what’s with the paltry applause at the end? Was this not recorded with an audience?

"Wir sind alle versammelt!" Excepting the Siegrune.
Mar 18, 2021, so it's likely the Covid restrictions made for a smaller audience which could not sit next to one another.

Well of course I kinda liked the young lady singing the asian Valkyrie part best, probably the closest one will ever get to seeing Michelle Yeoh singing Wagner. Except for her... yes, this is going to wrap into the finale.
Trivia item for the performance is the presence of the Wagner Tuba, if one recalls correctly, spec'd personally by Herr Wagner especially and particularly for this piece. /flashback 1973

(Yeah, sure. There were Asian Valkyries. Just ask Wagner.)

Real music. The art of musical composition has been long lost. Comparing the “music” of today’s “composers” like John Cage to Wagner’s music is like comparing Hunter Biden’s paintings to Rembrandt’s.

” KILL THE WABBIT!” made me fall in love with Classical music as a child. Got lots of Wagner’s music and the DVD of the movie EXCALIBUR(1981).

Götterdämmerung by Wagner is 4 hours and 32 minutes long, at 22 it was the first opera I ever saw, did not go to the opera again for 30 years.

I prefer the Apocalypse Now version of this music.
