Political commentator and elections analyst Nate Silver is sounding the alarm about President Joe Biden’s chances of winning reelection, writing in a Substack post that Biden is “losing” and appears to have no clear plan to right the ship.
While Silver believes that Biden was “a reasonably clear favorite” a year ago, he now believes that he’s “probably the underdog” due to his poor approval rating, dearth of “contingencies that could improves his situation,” as well as public perception of his age and abilities.
The FiveThirtyEight founder went on to argued that if Biden won’t run a “normal” campaign during which he would accept interview requests and other high-profile opportunities to improve his situation, he should step aside...
Biden could drop out of the race and allow Democrats to pick their nominee at their convention in August. “If the past couple of weeks are any evidence, it might nevertheless be Democrats’ best option for beating Trump,” he wrote. But failing that, his prescription for the Biden campaign is to complete four challenging interviews over the course of the next few weeks.
“This really isn’t too much to ask. These are the sorts of interviews that every other recent president has done,” submitted Silver, who concluded that if he can’t, “it’s awfully audacious to ask Americans to make him president for another four years.”

Biden, Joe will go quietly, Joe doesn’t know where he is. It’s Jill who will scratch and claw to keep power.
Joe won’t be on the ballot in Nov. That’s already set in stone. Any speculation about him running, is a waste of time.
The question is who will they put up?
Kammie is definitely a no-go. Mike is too lazy. Newsome isn’t popular enough. PIAPS wants it so bad, but the baggage is to heavy.
I look for someone else, Liz Cheney, Mitt Romney, or Shifty Schiff come to mind, as their best chance.
So did New Jersey when Bob Torricelli was indicted. They still put old Frank Lautenburg on the ballot, and the NJ SC said it was okay, because you can't just have an empty democratic party contender.
The Deep State can get rid of Biden any time they want to—it is called assassination—they have the knowledge, skills, ability and staff to do it.
The only interesting question is whether they want to do it.

Nate Silver is perfectly free to make his own prediction. I predict there are enough abort-o-crats in this population to potentially help re-elect the mean, nasty, arrogant, demented, petty little man back into office.
Oh there’s a plan! I believe we’re seeing little bits of it all the time. Notice how there were stories about Hunter, and more and more proof? Notice how recently, those stories have all turned to JAMES Biden. They’re setting the table “You decide to not run, and ALL of this goes away. But if you don’t, we’re going to not only let the R’s investigate all of this, but we’re going to give them all the info they need to cook your entire family”.
Biden’s and the Dems with Biden leading the ticket two biggest negatives are the chaos they created at the border and Biden’s dementia making him the easiest candidate to beat and pull down the Dem Congress with him. I would hate to lose the Biden dementia issue and would hope Biden stays at the top of the ticket, but I cannot see this in the cards. Either he will drop out or the Dem elite will dump him.
Rush predicted the exact scenario you speak of. That was shortly before he died.

That’s a NJ state senatorial election. Each state has their own deadlines, so I don’t quite see how we’re having the same conversation?

No, that was the US Senate election, not the NJ state senate. It effected the whole country.
Jim Jeffords of Vermont gave us Tom Dashole as Senate Leader, and we would have got it back in 2004 if it wasn’t for the illegal Toricelli~Lautenberg switch. It had profound ramifications. We could even have avoided Obama.
