It is the Republican primary, but it is open to registered voters who did not vote in the earlier Democratic primary.
Its a winner take all with fifty delegates at stake.

I voted early. There was a crazy Democrat woman who loudly said, I’ll be back in November to vote for Biden. Icky Nikki is making a big play to get Dems to vote for her. Open primaries are insane.
So the Dems can rig this...and I believe they will.
That means any democrat who didn't show up to vote for democrats - including the dead - is available to be 'voted' by any corrupt group, We need to bring back exit polls.
And lots of Dems stayed home during their primary. Expect them to vote for Nikki. Can they overcome DJT? To be determined.
No, it’s open, so Democrats can vote for Haley - but they probably won’t since SC is winner take all.
The Democrats would be wasting their time, because even if they helped Haley get 30-40% of the vote like in NH, Trump would still take all the delegates.
It doesn’t matter, the media just want something that they can spin all night long.

My opinion is the Ruling Oligarchs want a replacement nominee for when Trump gets convicted of the felonies they cooked up.
But they must realize by now that Trump will be the nominee no matter what. So Nikki is just this year’s John Kasich. Somebody to “stay in the race till the convention”
I don’t think she knows anything we don’t. She’s being paid to stay in...because she’s a Democrat schill.
But she’s damaging her future in politics for nothing .( Unless she’s vying to be the VP candidate for the Biden replacement or she has a big pay day coming her way) Otherwise, the establishment Republicans can attempt to vanquish more than half their base by eliminating the “Maga” candidate, but this would only ensure that they will likely enjoy suppressed turnout for years to come.
We have an open primary in SC. There is a question on the ballet that is trying to get rid of it. I’m going to vote to keep the open ... there are so many rules now that people don’t vote in the primaries, this simply adds to the list. Sure there can be some crossovers, but they are darned rare.
Bury and humiliate Nikki Haley!
Think about Liz Cheney.
She had to know she would be crushed in her primary—but she kept on competing for Quisling of the year.
What did it get her?
Annihilation in the primary.
Then....
Nothing.
Nikki will rinse and repeat.
She has no Plan B.
Except Liz was born ultra wealthy; she doesn’t want for anything and she knows she’s absolutely devoid of charisma and could serve as nothing but a contrarian gadfly.
. Nikki is just getting a taste of the good life and she had — until recently— a fairly bright political future. Not a lot of people are terribly privy to what she’s really about. She’s assertive, reasonably attractive and relatively young. This seems a little premature an implosion if you ask me. And given how calculating she has already demonstrated herself to be.......
Nikki has been hanging with billionaires.
It is fun and exciting.
...until they dump her like yesterday’s newspaper.
