Mainers who encounter a FEMA official at their door are encouraged to ask for identification before providing personal information.

"DSA staff wear a FEMA identification badge with a photograph. Just wearing a FEMA shirt, vest or jacket is not proof of identity," the release stated. "Criminals and scammers can easily make official looking clothes."

"DSA team members are visiting homes, schools, nonprofits and community gathering spots," the release added. "They are also meeting with local officials and community leaders to identify disaster-related issues and unmet needs in the area."

Tracey said FEMA officials will never ask you for money, and they will always wear a government photo ID badge.

"And if you’re still uncomfortable, don’t give them any personal information, instead, register by email or by making a telephone call,"

Classic government.

People aren’t damaged enough to require help but the government sends out its pencil necked geeks to pressure them into it.

Welfare was the same way at first. So few people needed it that the county sent its employees out to sell the freebies.

Here in California, welfare is advertised on billboards and TV.

Mostly in Spanish!

A reliable Democrat stronghold, but they forgot to do the same in Hawaii. I guess they assumed that is a safe state for Democrats winning that state. Hawaiians may be rethinking their votes now.

They aren’t out looking for “unmet needs” they are out campaigning for Biden by showing up and making it look like government under Brandon cares for them.

Note they don’t have to produce anything but “concern” since there is no occuring disaster. Brandon would do the same with DoT, DoJ and other agencies but they would have so do something tangible like repair the roads, reduce crime, or improve life in some manner to make it work.

The 9 most dangerous words in a sentence are, “I’m from the government, and I’m here to help.”

Did FEMA go door to door in Hawaii after the fires destroyed everything and ask survivors if they needed anything?

Since I hadn’t heard of any natural or manmade catastrophes occurring in Maine, I figured FEMA had to be there campaigning for Biden and/or the Democrats in general for the upcoming election. They are in freak-out mode as you well know.

I have nothing to say to these people if they come to my door.

I got a phone call from the census bureau and threat of a $200 fine for not sending in my census form.

My antipathy for these fascist jerks is difficult to describe in a family oriented forum.

unmet needs

Opportunities to take wealth from those who create it and buy the votes of the people who don't.

Sometimes an epiphany strikes even the dumbest amongst us, because it is just too obvious and it cannot be ignored. 🤣

Sure.

They're probably looking for caches of food and ammo to raid for the next disaster somewhere. They'll decide have you have more than you need you need to *share it* with someone else who did not have the presence of mind to take care of themselves.

Or they are casing places to find accommodations to house illegals.
