I agree with you, and I think the recovery time mentioned is a deliberate effort by her doctors to keep her from resuming her busy schedule too soon.
I had a hysterectomy at 40 and was grateful for the required rest. The fact that two of my daughters came down with chicken pox just as I was scheduled to leave the hospital was the icing on the cake. They weren’t that sick, and old enough to be a great help.

Sorry to heard about your surgery.
Our mom had an hysterectomy and needed 6-8 weeks of rest and couldn’t lift anything over 5 pounds, if it remember correctly.
All us kids split the household chores. I got kitchen duty so I cooked and cleaned.
She recovered sooner than expected and tried to go back to work but Pop and us kids told her in no certain terms she was going to do what the doctor said.
