Tramadol is the most worthless painkiller on the market. I often wonder why it is even a controlled substance. I call it the pain killer that is based on the placebo effect.
one of the drugs listed for Eagle Syndrome is “gas station heroin”. I forget the name of the drug but they arent going to prescribe that either.
When you read the stories about what people go through with Eagle Syndrome I feel lucky that mine is not that bad yet.
Another drug listed is gabapentin. It doesnt work on me for whatever reason but it is just as well because that is another drug that people get hooked on for the euphoria it gives you.
None of these drugs give me euphoria. When I was taking Oxy after a surgery I couldnt figure out what the big deal was.
I dunno. I had heart surgery in June, 2020, during the height of the Covid hysteria. I was out of work for about five weeks, and in a lot of pain initially. I took Tramadol daily for almost a month, and it mostly worked. I had a prescription for oxycodone, and about 14 doses. I only took it once, when I was in too much pain to fall asleep. I thought tramadol made me feel sick most of the time, no appetite, but it did control my pain. I think between hip replacement and heart surgery, I have had two prescriptions, about 20 doses of oxycodone, and taken one, but it was effective.
I honestly do not understand the appeal of narcotics, tramadol made me feel sick all the time and I could not wait to be off it.
i agree
Tramadol does not work at all to stop pain.
Sometimes people do have real pain and it is nasty to give someone something that does not lessen the pain.
I would classify it as a placebo.
