Fox News' Juan Williams made an interesting claim about the continued existence of racism in the wake of the Charleston, S.C, shootings.

"The polls indicate this, that white people think that black people are less intelligent," Williams said on the June 22, 2015, edition of The Five. "They think they’re less trustworthy, less patriotic. At some point you’ve got to deal with these root issues."

Saying that Blacks are, on the whole, slightly less intelligent is called making a generalization. The fact that there are "exceptions to the rule" does not lessen the validity of the general observation.

That’s true or at least to be the case when I attended a high school that was 93% black. The black kids who actually studied and tried to do the right thing were accused of “acting white”. It was a very sad and self defeating attitude they held.

Not necessarily scientific, but I have worked with different races of people over many years. On average, certain ones are just plain smarter.

I once had an Asian guy at our facility working on a network project. He picked up a Rubik cube I had on my desk and while we were talking and he was looking at me he had it solved in less than 30 seconds. I had been working on it and have gave up. Just one of many experiences.

Anecdotal? Perhaps, but these were real life interactions.

There are a lot of true things people can’t say anymore because it’s “hate speech” or “politically incorrect” or “conspiracy theory” or “domestic terrorism” or “inciting insurrection”.

You can’t say the 2020 election was stolen.
You can’t say homosexuality is a perversion.
You can’t say blacks commit more crime.
You can’t say “transsexuals” are mentally ill.
You can’t say some races have higher average IQ than others.

People should be able to speak the truth without being demonized for it.
Of course, people should be kind and avoid needlessly hurting people’s feelings.
But we need to be free to speak the truth.

My sister taught black kids in middle school in downtown Baltimore for over a decade. That was about the hardest thing for her to overcome. Not only did the losers not want to learn, they also tried to make sure nobody else could learn, either.
