You’re right about GA and PA, horrible candidates both of which were Trump endorsed, also in GA you have terrible infighting between the Trump supporters and the Kemp supporters, it was a perfect storm for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

AZ is a special case, strong candidates who made terrible strategy errors.

I’ve made this observation multiple times on FR and took heat each time, but I still believe it, for a Republican to win in AZ, you need a unified Republican Party, you can’t trash 15-20% of the Republican Base and hope they will turn out for you on election day.

It looks like this year, the AZ candidates have recognized the issue, hopefully they get it worked out before November so Republicans can win the Senate race which is right there to win.

part of the problem in AZ is UniParty “infiltration” into MAGA candidates organization.

Its exactly how the CIA operates overseas

That’s an issue everywhere, not just in AZ, but other candidates figure out a way to win, in AZ all major Republicans lost and there has to be other reasons.

The biggest issues with Republicans is fighting each other and not being single minded about defeating Democrats.

How many Democrats do you think believe Biden is mentally gone and should not be anywhere near POTUS, probably more than you think, but virtually none of them step out and say so, conversely Republicans routinely tear each other down even when they mostly agree with each other on policy.

No it’s not.

But the polls were out big-time last night (they said Dolan ahead by 2-3 points).

This race is going to be close. A few points I reckon.

@dm4 mentioned Tester. Same kind of deal here unless it is actual fraud/.

This is what had me puzzled

He should be gone this year under most circumstances.

But Brown may have the ability to fool the electorate. He must have a following like Tester or Manchin who are similarly hard to remove from office

It’s unusual.

Incumbency is also a factor with the senate candidates. He probably has a huge war chest and his party will spend big on defense.

Correct, incumbency and name recognition. It is a powerful tool.

Mr. Monroe will have to spend a lot of money to catch up in the name recognition area and defining himself as the good choice over the Dem.

Glad to hear you say that, but the soccer moms are the evil factor in Ohio. They vote based on looks and demeanor not policies and integrity. And, their votes sway the results. Look at the empty suit we had in Rob Portman. Talk about nothing there but a $150 haircut and a $600 Saks sweater? He was poster boy for a useless trust fund puke who didn’t want anything but to host a successful fundraiser at his country club.

I think you are wrong about election fraud.

The Demorat belt from Youngstown to Toledo might as well be New Jersey. I wouldn’t trust any count from there.

Does anyone expect the polls to narrow?

I do, it will be a 2% race in the end.

Republican State Rep. Jon Cross was primaried and lost last night. He was one of The Blue 22-the twenty-two Republicans who betrayed voters by joining 32 Democrats to elect “moderate” Speaker of the House Jason Stephens. The Republican caucus had voted Derek Merrin Speaker of the House a month prior, but behind closed doors Jason Stephens cut a backroom deal with Democrat leadership. In return for their Democrat support, Stephens would kill pro-life legislation, school choice legislation, and hand the Democrats more seats in redistricting. It was the WORST DEAL in the history of Ohio politics and a dark day for Republicans.

Ohio - Matt Dolan (360,197 votes, Tues., Mar. 19, 2024 GOP Primary):

In the 2000s, Dolan mostly blended in with his conservative colleagues in the Ohio House of Representatives. But he occasionally broke ranks, like the time during a state budget crunch when he voted with Democrats to end an income tax cut, or the time he supported legislation to ban discrimination against gay and transgender people.

Name recognition, and limiting the polling to heavily Democrat districts.

The McCain Republicans are Assistant Democrats.

How soon we forget that Juan McLame gave cover to his fellow Democrats in the Keating Five scandal...

The McCainiacs don't care if they give up some US Senate seats or the governorship for a while - just as long as they can get rid of MAGA and get back to the good old days of milking the Uniparty System for their own benefit.

East Caolina U has a poll which is Encouraging. Brown 44 Moreno 40 othrers 2 undecided 14. An incumbent below 50 with lots of undecideds is good mews for an opponent. MOE is 3. But 14 undecided is BAD news.
