Two TikTokers taking part in the search for missing college student Riley Strain — livestreaming their search efforts for followers — found his credit card near the Cumberland River in Nashville.
Two TikTok users, @nobodyleftbehind13 and @annaclendening, were sharing their search as it unfolded live with followers when they stumbled across the missing Mizzou student’s credit card.
“S—. I found his credit card,” one user can be heard saying in a video that was later shared to @rileylively’s account, Fox News Digital reported.
Another user filming the search chimes in, “You found his credit card? We found his credit card. We gotta go. We gotta hang up the phone.”

My guess is he was so drunk he fell into the river and drowned.........................
If he was drunk and fell into the river, how did the credit card get separated?
I tend to lean towards chicagoconservative27’s theory, but there is one big question. If someone was poking through the a wallet, why didn’t they keep the credit card? Too risky maybe. They just took the cash and didn’t risk using the card(s)
Even if it was a robbery, where’s the body and where’s the wallet?
The bar said they handed the kid back his credit card, so it was probably in his shirt or pants pocket. The video shows he was falling down drunk he was so out of it. So it may have fallen out of his pocket.
They will probably find his body down river in a few days.....................
I find it strange that these “sleuths” decided to look by the river, and even more strange that they found this credit card under leaves, and that the card belonged to the missing person. I’m sure that the police are also beyond curious as well. For the odds of this happening are astronomical at best, and beyond believable at worse.
If you are falling down drunk, it definitely is possible to fall into a river. That’s not inconceivable at all. However, I would say it’s more likely that he was helped into the river. Speaking about probability, a falling down drunk person will definitely attract attention to themselves. Also, evil people are opportunists. They prey on the weak and vulnerable, and do things when they think no one is looking or when they think they can get away with it.

Yes, kind of suspicious, and why didn’t the police find it. Also and more importantly, why the hell didn’t one of his “brothers” accompany him when he got kicked out of the bar?
Why would someone help into the river? There would be no need to. A person that drunk is not going to remember a single thing anyway.
Maybe he just fumbled and dropped the credit card in the process of trying to put it in his pocket.
Nothing at all strange about it. There were a lot of videos from streetcams etc that gave people a rough idea of his path and general direction. They looked where anyone naturally would.

Happens all the time. I don’t know the show but there is a guy/team that scuba dives rivers exploring missing persons cases. They have found dozens of cars that missed the turn, went down the boatramp etc. They have found them in surprisingly small streams .... skeletons inside.
People constantly fall into rivers. Odd, but very real.
That’s where his phone was last pinged. The riverbank there is very steep and full of trash and homeless camps. Tragic, to be ditched by his fraternity “brothers.”
That being said, I wonder if there is a smiley face painted somewhere near there.
There is a huge brick fence that drops 30 feet into the Cumberland.
Wouldn’t be the first time someone fell over it .
When I ever went bar hopping I’d carry only my ID, one card and about $50 in cash. All in my pocket or sock.
Easy to drop as drunk as he was. The question is why he walked to the riverbank.

Yeah, his frat “brothers” should carry that guilt the rest of their lives. Inexcusable.
That was never mentioned in the article posted. But it could have been stolen from him & ended up there.
Cops get suspicious of those who volunteer to become involved in cases. That suspicion becomes heightened when they make discoveries, especially if the discovery was made under a bunch of leaves.
Tragic that the bar served him so much that he got blotto, and then set hi loose in that condition on his own.. At that age, friends are not thinking about what is capable of happening in the real world.
He was on a fraternity trip, so he was probably "pre-gaming" before he ever got to a bar. No, this lands squarely on the shoulders of his frat "brothers," who said he was walking back to their hotel after getting kicked out of the bar.
Not having someone walk him back is inexcusable. It was still fairly early, so they could have walked him back, got him to his room, and still been able to go back and keep partying.
But then again, they are growing up in a society that no longer believes in, let alone promotes, the notion of the sanctity of life.
In reality, there are many factors that share in what happened to this young man.

Certainly a possibility, but I didn't see it mentioned.
The person who posted this article, said he watches a lot of real crime shows. My wife also does, mainly because she was involved in in the realm of police & sheriff's offices for many years herself. I used to watch a lot of them myself with her. Cops become very suspicious of people who inject themselves into ongoing investigations. Because criminals do that. Either to relive the event, or to keep tabs on what the police know. They may also do it, just for the thrill of being under their noses to show how smart they are, and that they will not be caught.
They may not be involved whatsoever, but when evidence is found by these people, they tend to look at them even harder.
I know this from having watched these program & talking to her in the past. That is what I am going on. It also raises my suspicions, because the odds of doing what they did, rank right up there with the theory that life began on tis planet by accident, not a creator.
I’m livid that none of his “friends” made sure he got back safely to his place.
