My great grand father’s great grandfather owned twenty slaves.

My great grand father grew up poor, with nothing, left school after fourth grade to work, and worked for the next 80 years of his life, and invested in land. The land did not pass to me. I got a few thousand dollars.

The reparationists imagine that money accumulates indefinitely, to every descendant, and that white people are sitting on millions of stolen gain.

We aren’t.

--- "The reparationists imagine ...."

In this Lenten time, one recalls the "be on us and our children" was applied for some centuries not to a small group but to an entire people. Justifying much evil. How many generations are we from slavery here in the US?

And yet slavery is practiced throughout the world in those places the media spends little time observing.

"The reparationists" do indeed imagine that there is free money "out there."
