The fast-food chain Chick-fil-A backtracked from its decade-old “no antibiotics ever” pledge intended to help prevent human antibiotic resistance linked to the rampant use of the drugs in livestock production.
Instead, the company said in a statement that it will embrace a standard known as “no antibiotics important to human medicine,” often abbreviated as NAIHM, which entails the avoidance of medications commonly used to treat people and limits the use of animal antibiotics to cases of actual animal illness.

Chick-fil-A said it will begin shifting to the new policy in the spring of 2024. A company spokesman added that the move reflects company concerns about its ability to acquire sufficient supplies of antibiotic-free chicken. One of the poultry industry's largest companies, Tyson Foods, said last year that it was reintroducing some antibiotics to its chicken production and removing its “No Antibiotics Ever” package labeling. It began to eliminate antibiotics from some of its poultry production in 2015.

They won’t have to worry about a product shortage when no one buys their chicken.
I tried their product once. It was good but somewhat overpriced at the time. I’ve stopped eating fast food for the most part. Fast food and its various outlets like much of the world these days only crosses my mind here on FR.
Chicken supply shortage?
Most people do not care if the chicken has antibiotics or not.
This is a minor news story so it is natural that it is reported a little bit but I wonder if the left will give this an extra amount of reporting and sustained and repeated coverage since it involves Chick-Fil-A.

How do you know that?
In 2012, when the sodomites announced a boycott of Chick Fila, we all rushed over to our local eatery to defy the gaystapo. At my local Chick Fila, the number of cars trying to get in caused a traffic jam on the thoroughfare on which it is located.
However, Chick Fila went woke, and I haven't eaten there in at least six years.
Because the vast majority of chicken sold is raised with antibiotics and the "no antibiotics" chicken sales plummet when the economy gets bad (like now).

I’d rather see them say that we’re dropping Tyson because they are hiring illegals, as a result, we can’t claim anti-biotic free anymore, although that remains our goal.

I have raised chickens for years. I have yet to give antibiotics to any of them.
Do you wonder how people lived so long in the book of Genesis? It’s because they had an immune system like a chicken. A chicken is about the nastiest creature on the planet yet they live and thrive while being able to drink chicken poop tea and digging through dried poop and eating the good morels of rotting organic matter.
No, just backyard chickens.
We used to shop at a supermarket and usually go through a certain girls line to checkout and I would say something to tweak her. One day I said “this tuna just doesn’t taste right since they took the dolphin out of it.” After she calmed down a bit she said she had quit eating tuna because “it was a scavenger” and now she just ate chicken because they weren’t scavengers. LOL. I said “you haven’t been around chickens much have you?”
