Oh yeah, the same American Heart Association that says that Intermittent Fasting will lead to heart attacks.

I have also smoked both, and during the same time period, mainly during the 60’s and 70’s. I agree, smoking anything is not the best idea, but reefer smoke is much less harmful, especially when smoked through a bong with ice. Can also make awesome cookies, brownies, etc. It is also much easier to quit, or go without for an extended period of time. Plus the bennies...pot generally lifts your spirits, gives you an unending appetite (maybe not so much a bennie), is great for sleeping afterwards (indica), and the smoke does not seem to linger as long or smell as bad. Stale tobacco smoke is disgusting. I still appreciate a couple tokes now and then, gave up tobacco many years ago, and my oxygen level is 98%, and I’m well into my 70’s now.

No waayyyy!

I was told and shown studies by pro-pot people that marijuana smoking was perfectly healthy and even good for you and that’s why it should be legalized over that nasty tobacco smoking!

40 bones a day? Never that much or even close, but I once was at a party where I was the designated joint roller (due to experience, of course) and lost count after a hundred doobies. Now that party is legendary among those that survived!

But it all started out as “medical marijuana” before it devolved to legalized weed.

But none admit to it it’s only seen from the outside.

I’d wager that most people who smoke weed daily have a whole host of other ‘lifestyle’ habits that make them prone to heart attack.

Those studies were not approved by the pharmaceutical industry or the prison guard lobby.

I know people who have never smoked cigarettes, but have smoked a couple of bowls every day for 40 years.

They also keep it in their lungs much longer than cigarette smoke.

In any case, chronically deeply inhaling smoke isn’t good for lungs, no matter what is burning.

Nobody cares about the research. Stoners are addicted. Have you ever counseled an addict? They don't care about the reality. They are going to find their fix.

Why bother with these threads? Libertarians are worse than stupid. They're addicts. And that makes all this posturing a waste of time.

Agreed. I have some pothead friends. They’re also lazy, drink, and eat crap food.

Avoiding obesity and drugs is the best controls one can have on health.
Throw in proper sleep, meditation/prayer, and social circles…

Breathing smoke in to your lungs is bad for you.
