Marlboros were my poison of choice, but I gave them up fifty years ago because of sinus infections. I’d quit smoking for a few weeks when I got one. When it was gone I would start smoking again and bam... sinus infection again.

It was actually a fortunate thing, because I hate pain and smoking brought pain, so when I finally quit it was easy.

When I was in HS I walked around with a pack of Marlboros. Not because I smoked cigarettes, just because my friends did. It was my way of acting like a badass.
When I turned 16 my parents told me we know damn well some of your friends smoke and we know you're going to try it. Go ahead but YOU buy your own cigarettes. That psychology worked for me. I smoked one cigarette and hated it 😖😖

Pall Malls were my vice until I quit at the Montevideo airport waiting for my flight having run out of American cigarettes. Am still surprised how easy it was to quit smoking. Should have stopped earlier.
