He came up with the phrase "effective altruism" - as if all efforts at charity before him were incompetent - but he didn't feed hungry children or house homeless women or treated suffering veterans. He used other people's money to blanket Congress with his "effective altruism" bribes. And yet he sounds like he sincerely believes in himself.
He reminds me of the warning CS Lewis gave, that the worst of all tyrants are the jerks who honestly think they are caring for you while they ruin your life and destroy your freedom.
