I couldn't tell from the article, but what is this petition supposed to do and is there some required number of signatures? I read through the article once and it doesn't look like an official recall petition. Is this just producing a list of 43,000 people begging for vindictive prosecutions without any benefit?

And as an aside, I could expand the article the first time I went to it, but when I returned to it I was only given the option of going to an app to finish reading it. Yuck. I hate having to download a nosy 100 megabyte app to do something I should be able to do on a web page.
