O.J. Simpson -- one of the most infamous high-profile Americans of all time -- is dead after a cancer battle.
The former NFL great -- who stood trial for the double-murder of his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, in the '90s, only to be acquitted -- passed away Wednesday in Las Vegas ... this according to his family.

He was surrounded by his children and grandchildren.

You wonder if they will find that he had CTE and that played a role in his alleged behaviours.
Then there was the evidence Furhman carried around in his car for days. One would think that in a celebrity case in the 90’s, LAPD would have taken more care in evidence collecting.

But if you were a juror and the idea that the L.A.P.D. routinely planted evidence to secure convictions, would you have sure, beyond a reasonable doubt that Fuhrman really did find the gloves when he jumped the fence ‘in order to warn O.J. that he, O.J. might be the target of a murderer’?
I remember being outraged at the verdict and the fact that my black students cheered. But after the L.A.P.D. scandal broke a few years later, I can kind of understand why the jury could claim there was a reasonable doubt.

I was in a local department store in Hampton, VA, the furniture/electronics section. A manager had a TV set out with a number of people (mostly AA) standing around awaiting the verdict. When it was announced, every one of the AA’s started jumping up and down, cheering like their favorite team had just won the superbowl. Was sickening, to be sure.
He now knows the identity of “the real killer” ...
