OJ Simpson Juror: Not-Guilty Verdict Was ‘Payback’ for Rodney King
The Wrap ^

Posted on 04/12/2024 4:34:33 AM PDT by Tench_Coxe

Trial watchers, sociologists and even FX’s show “People v OJ Simpson” have argued that the jurors in O.J. Simpson’s murder case acquitted him as payback for the Rodney King beating. And in ESPN’s new event series, “O.J.: Made in America,” one juror finally comes out and says it.

(snip)

Interviewer: That was payback.
Bess: Uh-huh.
Interviewer: Do you think that’s right?

At that question, she holds up her hands.

Rich guys have been buying their way out of trouble long before OJ came a long.

If OJ had been on welfare and relying on a public defender there is no way he would have got off.

A high profile case was perfect to send the message thru Black jury nullification. Just as terrorists seek out large crowds.

How many black commit crime after crime and only after an extended crime career are finally incarcerated. I don’t think that the judicial system has been so bad for black criminals. Where do the victims of career criminals go to get ‘payback’?

A big reason OJ, the murderer, got off was “jury nullification”.

Jury nullification is a dreadful thing to behold.

Only when jurors have no minds of their own and do whatever the predominant culture likes.

If only fully informed and qualified jurors were seated everywhere - as intended by the Founders - then there would be no January 6th trials, no idiotic verdicts against Trump, no rogue prosecutors filing charges against political enemies. Informed jurors would fling ridiculous charges back into the government's faces, and would act as the sovereign authorities of the land - exactly as the Supreme Court has upheld and endorsed on multiple occasions.

The jury system was one of the first pillars of America that the collectivists corrupted - decades ago. Don't blame jury nullification for the acts of DEI jurors who are no one's peers, and were never qualified to be seated.

Facts don’t matter to the black community who is hell bent on their own particular form of racism agaisnt white folks. Trial, after trial after trial we are seeing that it doesn’t matter what the facts are, all that matters if whatever the left demands, it gets- facts be damned.

Not actionable. California Civil Code Sec 47(2). If there were a viable action, the statute of limitations would have run decades ago. Lawsuits aren’t magic and they can’t be brought in all circumstances and the popular misconception to the contrary doesn’t help anyone

What you say is true, but when I had jury duty years ago in Miami, I was dismissed simply because I was a college graduate! The people that were chosen out of our pool were the dumbest, Oprah watching, unemployed idiots they could choose! Easily persuaded by any emotional line of thought the lawyers wanted to use on them. Just sayin’

There was a black guy who was my friend. We went to the same church. We’d eaten together and prayed together many times. Shortly after St George Floyd bit the dust, I disagreed with him and he exploded. Called me a racist who wanted to destroy him because he was in a mixed race marriage - conveniently ignoring that my wife isn’t my race! He told me I was evil. And all I had done was disagree with a “friend”!

I haven’t trusted a black person since. I knew him for years. We’d prayed together uncounted times. He was, supposedly, a Christian. But in the end, he viewed everything about me thru “race”. And if he could harbor that hatred and resentment and not show it for years...how can I trust a stranger?

“They are only doing what the democrats trained them to do.”

Yep! But my life is too short to waste time. I’m not getting paid to help random blacks overcome their programming in hate. If I saw a black with car trouble, I’d no longer stop to help. I used to but no longer. A black DEACON in the church I went to taught me that.

I was optimistic about race in America in the 1990s. I have no hope for it now.

At that moment that he lunged at the police; he could have been justifiably shot. The police used restraint and kept him alive and relatively healthy.

If anyone can find it, post the first 11 seconds of the Rodney King video that the media cut

My Tagline was already in effect.

OJ I have been innocent.. they’re speculation out there that his son was never tested for DNA, that his son hated Nicole Simpson, that his son was in the area and was a good friend with that Cato dude or whoever that is... there are pointers to his son that were never followed up. Also he might have been able to wear that glove.

Someone ought to open up that case and look at his son and clear all doubt... or not.

We can co-exist, that is why evil people work so hard to divide us. I read something the other day that rings true. One of America’s greatest achievements was taking people who had killed each-other tribally for a thousand years and uniting them under a single common Christian culture.

That is the point of cultural Marxism, to break that common cultural bond. I think blacks were well on their way to full integration into American culture by the 1950’s but the “great society” pitted those below the “poverty line” against the rest of the country and encouraged destructive, divisive behaviors. A large percentage of blacks, because of their economic status, were caught in that trap.

Why do you the Dems and their teacher union allies spend millions to KILL school choice especially in the cities. Because you need to be able to read and write and think to escape poverty and have a chance at climbing the economic ladder. AND you need to escape the anti-White indoctrination you get in public schools, which is no different than teaching Palestinians in Gaza that they need to kill Jews. It's very effective at changing the culture.
