How Will Israel Retaliate Against Iran?
New American Prophet ^ | April 15, 2024 | Dr. Michael Brown

Posted on 04/15/2024 5:06:58 AM PDT by Rev M. Bresciani

As expected, in retaliation for Israel’s killing of a top Iranian general and 7 other senior military leaders on April 1, all of whom were suspected of having Israeli blood on their hands, Iran struck back on Saturday night, launching roughly 350 drones, ballistic missiles, and cruise missiles on Israel. This marked the first time that the Islamic Republic of Iran directly attacked Israel after years of murderous attacks by their proxies, in particular Hezbollah and Hamas. What will Israel do in response? And what does this mean for the region and the world?

It's a NATO war simulation.

Steadfast Defender 24 (Simulated emerging conflict scenario against a near-peer adversary)

Tough call
Iran demonstrated they can launch from home and actually hit targets in Israel
Iran tested Israel air defense and gathered valuable data
Iran sent over plentiful cheap drones and forced Isreal/US/UK to fire EXPENSIVE arms to shoot down the cheap drones

Israel lost a lot of leverage this past weekend

“”””Iran sent over plentiful cheap drones and forced Isreal/US/UK to fire EXPENSIVE arms to shoot down the cheap drones””””

There was more than just the 170 or so drones.
There was also 30 cruise missiles, and at least 110 ballistic missiles.

Which goes to show that Israel NEEDS to do something to take out their armament because otherwise Iran can wear them out by using up their defenses.

Israel needs to hit them hard enough to cause them to either be incapable of launching another attack, or to make them think twice about doing it.

One thing Israel has been great at throughout their history is pulling off the unexpected.

The Mossad went into Argentina and snatched Adolph Eichman and smuggled him out of the country to stand trial in Israel.

They flew commandos into Uganda and rescued a bunch of hostages being held in Entebbe.

They sent an assassination team into Europe and took out a bunch of people responsible for the killing of the Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympics.

They took out the Nuclear Reactor in Iraq.

I would not be surprised to see a bunch of things blowing up all over Iran or some other type of action no one expects.

...30 cruise missiles, and at least 110 ballistic missiles....

Those more expense weapons were shot down with very expensive weapons.

We gave Iran a pant load of monwy.
We funded both sides of the battle

Lots of mountains in Iran. Possible, not easy

Why don’t you get to your real point, there seems to be something seething under the surface that you are tip-toeing around.

They should pull a Trump.

Send a note to the head Iranian guy saying, “We know where you live.” And a day later, drone the bastard.

Yep.

I am thinking some sort of next generation Stuxnet that disable all things computer and chips, then, technology to jam the smart drones and smart missiles

IMHO, a retaliation from Israel depends on if they get permission to use the airspace of Jordan and Iraq and/or Saudi Arabia, Syria, and Kuwait.

One of the reasons Jordan shot down many of Iran's missiles (and the US and UK forces shot down missiles over Iraq) is because Iran didn't get permission to use their airspace. Are those countries mad enough at Iran to allow Israel to use their airspace for missiles and planes to attack Iran?

If not, then we're talking about Israel launching with a naval attack from Arabian sea. I guess that's possible. But it'd be harder to pull off.

Well, Stevie, I guess that for you, all is lost.

You may as well slit your pathetic wrists and take the easy way out.

When you start out lying saying that the allies shot down all drones then you are lying for a purpose, and then you seemed disinterested in the huge correction that 140 or more missiles were shot down, to stay negative.

Why the initial lie?

Simple, blow up their largest most profitable petroleum plant in the middle of the night.

They say you provided warning and minimized casualties and now perceive the situation closed AND if Iran responds they will get a massive response.

How about 20-25 nukes hitting every major military,
Industrial, and population center?

Just end the threat.

Think about some type of EMP device that concentrates in a particular area or location, take out the conventional power at their nuclear reactors or something to really damage their nuclear program.

Israel lost a lot of leverage this past weekend.

Iran lost more than leverage. They lost credibility and their most capable weapons, fear and intimidation.

There were 30 cruise missiles and 110 ballistic missiles by one estimate. Those weapons are not cheap drones. All but a few ballistic missiles were shot down. What is getting little discussion is how effective the Middle East Air Defense worked. Four countries shot down 300 missiles in eight hours over the 1,000 miles from Iran to Israel. Given all the complaints about western air defense since the Gulf Wars to Ukraine, it is surprising that this is not getting more attention.

Iran spent years and billions building up its missile forces. Their most feared attack was shot down in a night. Iran has no friends, and lots of enemies who just showed they can stand up to them. That has got to have the Iranian leadership worried about what comes next.

Sure. Just give up, roll over, and expose your jugular.

If that works for you, you can respond that way to being attacked.

Let real men do their job.

I have no doubt Israeli intelligence knows EXACTLY where what they want to eliminate is located. It won’t be a waste of anything if it cripples Iran permanently or for a long time.
