Don’t watch womens sports. High School level only slower.
There is a difference.
Outside of beach volleyball, there isn’t a women’s sport worth watching for more than 30 seconds, unless you have a personal tie to a player, or team.
The WNBA is just plain painful to watch, it’s pathetic.
She’s a great shooter, but once she’s in the WNBA and the new wears off, nobody will pay any attention to her.
.
This is the minimum wage controversy in microcosm.
Liberals and feminists are demanding that WNBA players get paid more. Some are demanding equal pay with the guys. Okay, fine. Let’s pay every WNBS player the same league minimum as the NBA. Now, the WNBA doesn’t have a fraction of the NBA’s ticket sales, media exposure or team tchotchke sales, so the teams will quickly run out of cash. Then what? They simply go out of business? “If you can’t afford to pay a living wage, you should not be in business.” So fine, pay them $900 grand a year their first year. It’ll be the last WNBA season you ever see.
Wikipedia: Field goal (basketball)
Excerpt:
In basketball, a field goal is a basket scored on any shot or tap other than a free throw, worth two or three points depending on the location of the attempt on the basket. Uncommonly, a field goal can be worth other values such as one point in FIBA 3x3 basketball competitions or four points in the BIG3 basketball league. "Field goal" is the official terminology used by the National Basketball Association (NBA) in their rule book, in their box scores and statistics, and in referees' rulings. The same term is also the official wording used by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and high school basketball.

White rookie slaves make the same as black rookie slaves.
I’m 64 years old, played and watched a lot of basketball and Caitlin Clark is the finest all-around basketball player I’ve seen in my lifetime, black or white, man or woman.
I thought the anti capitalists would think that her salary and endorsements are “enough”. She doesn’t “need” any more than that.
I am thinking we will see her more in the next six months than we will want to see her.
Clark is most likely already making more that her salary, just the State Farm ad alone.
I don’t understand; why not the $20 per hour “living wage” as bernie demands?
The WNBA has NEVER made a profit. They lose about $10M/year. They only exist because the NBA established an endowment that subsidizes them to the tune of $15M/year.
You can’t pay high salaries to players if there is no profit generated. Even the paltry pay they receive now is only by the grace of charity from MENS basketball.
Caitlin is getting some sponsor pay, and her stuff will probably sell batter than any other WNBA player for a short time. Ironically, many WNBA players will cast those who buy her jersey as racist, and her sales will be limited because of that.
Why can’t she just sign with the highest bidder?
Right these drafts are the ultimate in unAmerican socialism.
Lose and get the first selection, whom can now play for your franchise or not at all.
This is sold under the ridiculous BS called competitive balance. Yet, having perpetual villains or teams that everyone either loves or hates is more attractive.
I think she should get extra for being successful and white
FWIW

If Clark makes the league profitable, she deserves the biggest contract in the history of the league.
She has $5 million offer from the Big Three. So, if she's rejecting that offer and accepting the WNBA salary, that's her decision.
She'll make far more in endorsements that she ever will in the WNBA. But, she knows that.
Go out and ask people what a "Field Goal" is.....I'd bet you 97% of people will tell you it's a 3 point kick...for a Field Goal. Not a basketball....2 pointer.
