From Uncle Clif High on EMPs...

EMP devices are well studied.

The greatest effect of an EMP device would be in space as an anti-satellite weapon. In using EMP devices that way, without regard to their mechanism, the largest area affected at a ‘chip kill’ level is 80 miles in diameter sphere. That is 80 miles.

IF we follow the military analysis for an EMP attack on continental North America, we discover that you can’t set your EMP bombs off that high up due to ionosphere provided protections at two distinct atmospheric boundary layers. Practically, the military calculates that EMP devices would have to be set off at no more than 20 miles up.

Atmosphere density, moisture content, dust, mountains, lakes & rivers (higher local close to the ground suspended water levels) will all affect the EMP efficiency.

There are two types of EMP attack strategically. One is to simply knock out electric power to areas. The other is to damage chips & networking electronics.

The Power-Kill EMP requires fewer explosions and they need only be at specific areas relative to our national power grid. The Chip-Kill EMP needs to have specific levels of electrical disruption via scalar waves in the air. These require more EMP devices.

Chip-kill EMPs would have to be set off at 20 miles up which produces a ‘ring of effects’ that is approximately 250 miles in diameter. This means that you would need 198 EMP bombs to attack the chips here in USA. And you would not get all of them by far. The estimate is that at double that coverage, so 396 EMP bombs, would only get about 27 % of all the chips. Many would be shielded by buildings, basements, mountains, et cetera.

To bring down the USA electrical grid by EMP would require 58 explosions at very critical points in the grid. These would bring down the grid, but would not cause permanent damage, though the recovery time in some areas may be years with actual electrical transmission lines melting from the effects.

The above analysis is based on PLASMA form EMP weapons, whether powered by either nukes, or electrical impulse generators.

Our prayer time is coming soon. (3:15)
Take a couple minutes to remember our
country and FRens.

Cause me to hear Your lovingkindness in the morning, for in You do I trust; cause me to know the way in which I walk, for I lift up my soul to You.

Transformers👈 - I hope we have increased our stock - they were mfrd overseas, like China and India... I won't take issue with your tech info; I am most familiar with the Pacific tests in the 50's and 60's. I know the military 'hardens' their equipment against EMP. The Starfish Prime test affected Hawaii's electric system and some telephone relays - I don't think too extensive.

On warfare-type EMP's, those Chinese 'balloons' we discovered can carry hypersonic missiles and nuclear EMP weapons at medium altitudes. 🤷‍♂️ Enough for me to fret.

Good to know information.

From that short explanation, I'm thinking those 58 warheads would better serve an enemy if aimed at our populated and military target areas. The damage and ensuing chaos would be greater than a grid strike, which would simply impose a situation similar to the covid lockdowns across the nation.

Either sort would eventually rack up some large casualties, but I still think the cities and bases would be primary.
