It seems unusual to appeal something that has not yet had a verdict.
The goal is to appeal everything until after the election. Hunter was caught dead to rights guilty. TPTB don’t want SloJoe to have to pardon Hunter before the election or ABCNBCCBSCNNMSNBCNYTLAT will have to report it and some not so observant voters might start questioning their support for .....you know, the thing.
