According to the POLITICO email Donald is defending Mike Johnson ...

AIN’T EASY BEING GREENE — Turns out it wasn’t a momentary lapse of judgment: DONALD TRUMP yesterday evening defended Speaker MIKE JOHNSON for the second time in as many weeks amid a swirl of speculation about his future atop the House GOP.

After spending the day holed up in a Manhattan courtroom (more on that in a second), the former president told Real America’s Voice radio host John Fredericks that Johnson is “trying very hard” and “a very good person.”

“Well, look, we have a majority of one, OK?” Trump said, extending Johnson some grace and echoing the speaker’s own explanation for working with Democrats on a host of issues. “It’s not like he can go and do whatever he wants to do.”

Trump even praised Johnson for turning some foreign aid to Ukraine into a loan (a maneuver we previewed as a Trump sop weeks ago) and for standing “very strong with me” on urging NATO countries to up their defense spending commitments. More from Meridith McGraw

The remarks come just a day after Rep. MARJORIE TAYLOR GREENE (R-Ga.) vowed on Fox News to force out Johnson one way or another. And it came just hours after MAGA chieftain STEVE BANNON claimed that Trump was in fact “furious about what happened” with Johnson’s support of foreign-aid spending and that he had been manipulated by “cuck political operatives” into backing the rookie speaker.

What does it all mean for Greene? Under her theory of the case, conservative lawmakers are home in their districts right now getting an earful from their constituents about Johnson’s betrayal of the MAGA cause, bucking them up to join Greene in a motion to vacate when they return to Washington next week.

But after first hearing Trump say, “I stand with the speaker,” and now, “I think he’s trying very hard,” it’s going to be awfully hard to deny that Trump is being crystal clear in signaling what he wants — or rather, doesn’t want: a messy election-year coup that throws the House into chaos and again reminds voters what MAGA governance can look like.

We’re left with a choice between Johnson or Jeffries.

It’s got to be Johnson.

A few simple points regarding Rand Paul:

1 He’s not in the House.

2 He’s in the senate, which Republicans do not control.

3 He isn’t going to get a damn thing done without Trump being elected.

4 He might just keep his mouth shut rather than get negative about Trump.

5 If needed, I will pick Trump over Paul, every single time.

If Ukraine falls it is pinned solely on the Democrats now. Ukraine holds on and Trump wins Trump is able to quickly negotiate a peace deal. Both are wins for Trump.

I think you have to be realistic on this one

There will be absolutely no movement on the border issue until Biden is out of office

Regardless of what Johnson does on border legislation - Schumer will lock it in the Senate and Biden will veto the bill

You get the government you vote for amend America is getting what it voted for

America will continue to get what it voted for, including the border invasion, until it votes these clowns out and replaces them with new reps.

Johnson is dealing with hard reality

“Trump publicly supported Ronna until he gained the leverage to dump her.”

Who was it that got McDaniel elected head of the RNC in the first place and who also ensured that she was reelected to that position? Wasn’t it Trump?

You mean after Ronna helped Trump win in Michigan, "in the first place", in 2016?

Tells you a lot

Yes it does. Johnson is a two-faced liar and if Trump defends him that creates an entirely new set of questions. I love Trump but he has shown very questionable judgment at times.

write-in “Volodymyr Zelensky” in the Republican Primary. Not a bad idea :P

He probably doesn’t meet the birth certificate requirements. 🙃🙂

My objection to any money given to Ukraine
Their gov is corrupt
Biden took a handful from Ukraine and more than likely, money laundering. He pockets his, and tax dollars pay it back.
We need a border closed..
Ukraine comes here and demands help.Cash.. Since when?!!!!

If Rand wants to abolish the CIA then he will be a huge asset.

I think Trump’s second term would be a lot different than his first.

I just read a website about bribery of politicians through child sex trafficking done in Omaha, NE in the 1980’s (see https://pepelivesmatter.substack.com/p/the-franklin-scandal-deep-dive ). The guy who ran the operation was rich with CIA funds and recruited kids from Boys Town, trained them in the sex trade, and then used them to get sex tapes of politicians. Offutt AFB was used for the training, the Omaha police chief was in on it, the Omaha World-Herald was in on it, the head FBI agent was in on it, the CIA was in on it. By the time it was over, 19 people were killed in mysterious circumstances. Two different Omaha juries believed all the lies of the people in power. John DeCamp was advised to write a book to keep the CIA from killing him; the guy who advised him was a CIA whistleblower to the Church Committee who DeCamp knew from his VietNam days.

At this point we’d have to be crazy to think that the intel community is NOT using sex tapes to bribe politicians, judges, etc.

But we have to care enough that we consider regaining the rule of law more important than anything else - and need to be committed to whatever it will take to get us there.

We can’t afford to play politics. We have to be united under that one goal, because until we achieve that we can’t achieve anything else that is needed to save this country.

At this point what matters is who runs the committees.

They are the ones collecting the evidence that can be used once Trump is in office. Hopefully in Gitmo.

We HAVE to get rid of the CIA. That is the only way to stop the Deep State from destroying this country altogether, by threatening/bribing the Congress-critters so that they fear the Deep State more than they fear their own constituents.

Let the dems say whatever they want. We will smile, be pleasant, and have a plan to kill everybody we meet if necessary, as the military might say. We will not get mad; we will get even. Methodically, deliberately, and with deadly precision. That is what we have to unite to do.

Thank you for the word salad that has little to do with Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

And even if you choose somebody good, the Deep State has everything they need to turn that person into rot.

We can’t fix anything until we get rid of the CIA. Get rid of the sex tapes, the threats, the bribes. And start throwing the swamp in jail.

The only person I know who is committed to doing that is Trump. We have to unite our splintered “clans” and see the bigger picture to get him in office; we can’t afford to either give up or fight each other.

Why would any good person want to get involved in politics these days?

Trump only has losers to pick from.

I agree with most of what you said, except one thing: I don’t believe that America actually voted for this. I believe the true result of the election was Trump by a landslide.

If we did vote for this, I’d say put a fork in us we’re done. But I think the 2020 election was stolen from Trump and from all the people who had the sense to vote for him.

We need to do everything in our power to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
