And it is still the problem today: The Left has billionaires a plenty to fund them, & the conservative movement goes wanting. You would think the wealthy on our side would want to protect the system that gave them that wealth.
The first goes, "yay I am at the top of the heap, quick pull up the ladder!"
The second goes, "yay I am at the top. I feel horribly guilty about it. No one should ever have to feel this way. Quick destroy the ladder!"
The third goes, "yay people like the stuff I am making. Let's find a way to make more and better!"
The first two types want to stay on top so they get into politics, the third guy is paying no attention.
Third guy is actually more abundant but since he is uninterested he does not count.
