I disagree because an easy birth can suddenly go south. Nothing is certain. And he valued a new life over money.
In the end, it’s just a basketball game. A new life and the birth of a son? Priceless and a one time opportunity to see your son come into the world.
Even people with lesser pay are allowed to see their child be born.
Maybe he will, maybe he won't. Maybe Mom will, maybe she won't.
