Putin's Crown Jewel Forced Into Fire Sale Amid Record Losses
Newsweek ^ | 5/9/2024 | Brendan Cole

Gazprom, the energy giant at the heart of Russia's economy, has announced it is selling property in Moscow, one week after posting record losses linked to restricted supplies to Europe linked to Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

The company said on Wednesday that the properties include office and non-residential buildings, a car parking lot in the capital, and the Imperial Park Hotel and spa sanatorium and resort complex in Rogozino village, just outside of Moscow.

"Gazprom is engaged in a fire sale. They had their worst year in decades, and their production has fallen precipitously, down to what it was in the 1970s," said Tom O'Donnell, an energy and geopolitical analyst based in Berlin.

"This is a result of a miscalculation by Putin," he told Newsweek.

In announcing the real estate sale, Gazprom posted a statement on Telegram next to phone numbers for prospective purchasers. "Taking into account the completion of the relocation of the Gazprom Group companies to St. Petersburg, PJSC Gazprom is announcing its intention to sell real estate in Moscow," the statement said.

>>>>No. I shouldn’t have mentioned what I did and if I post anything more you pricks will just slime my husband’s memory and use it to hurt me.<<<<

You’re the one who opened her big mouth.

Now you want us to feel sorry for your anti-America butt by playing the sympathy card.

Go piss up a rope, meggie. I have no sympathy whatsoever for someone working to destroy my country.

BWT, I took a screen shot of your comment about your husband killing Russians. And yes, I will use it to show what a nasty, evil foreigner you are.

I expect a thin skinned, petulant child like you to run to mods and report this post. Go for it meggie!

Now you’re tugging at our heartstrings so we’ll feel sorry for you and stop criticizing you.

You’re as bad as reverend mother.

Is this a tactic you 2 learned at the Kiev Troll Farm?

Not a drop of Russian, or Slavic blood, for that matter, in my body.

Quit changing the subject and tell us where and when your husband fought and killed Russians.

Russia lacks a reusable booster and has little prospect of putting one into service anytime soon. For external customers, that makes Russian launches absurdly more expensive than what Space-X offers. As a result, Russian space launches are a minor component of the international launch business.

Moreover, Russia does not even rate in the top ten of manufacturing countries. As compiled by Safeguard Global from publicly available data, here is a list of the top ten manufacturing countries by per cent:

China – 28.4%

United States – 16.6%

Japan – 7.5%

Germany – 5.8%

India – 3.3%

South Korea – 3%

Italy – 2.3%

France – 1.9%

United Kingdom – 1.8%

Indonesia – 1.4%

Russia's total manufacturing is less than even Indonesia.

>i>...Russia's manufacturing capacity is greater than the entire West combined.....

LOL! So how come they've never made a decent car, refrigerator, cellphone or TV set? How come they're using American-sourced computer components in their missiles? Not too long ago they were buying American pumps and valves for their oil wells. They're good at making big military jet engines....have to be, because their airframes are all overweight. How come they're buying drones from IRAN? And begging artillery ammo from North Korea? Hmmmm?

Sorry for your loss, never easy to lose a loved one.

But right now you should be far more concerned about the loss that is coming to your children & you if we continue to ignore what is happening in our nation, for if we don't, Ukraine will lose without question with our loss.

Those currently in control are perhaps even more ruthless than any dictator on this planet, and his threat to this nation is far more serious, as it is coming from within and they control the levers of power.

The fact that you do not recognize that Biden ignores our laws, does not care about the uncontrolled invasion to dilute the power of citizens, and the fact that the overriding majority are military aged men, should be more than enough to convince you that this nation is in extreme jeopardy, yet you seem to bush that off.

So, why don't you tell us the truth as to why you are so adamant in our involvement in protecting Ukraine, while Biden provides the threats to our country.

Is the rumor that you are not an America that was born here, but are in fact a Ukrainian who married an American military soldier you met in Ukraine or, more likely, some other nation that our military might have been engaged in, is the truth about you?

Oh BTW, calling us pricks belies your claim that you chose to keep it rated suitable for general audiences that may include those who shouldn’t hear certain words. Just sayin.

In this video from two years ago:
Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) questions Victoria Nuland, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee to examine U.S.-Russia policy.
'I Don't Want That Pipeline Operational': GOP Sen. Presses Witness On Nord Stream 2
Senator, thanks for thanks for that statement of of unity and for... for your strong statement here today. As we discussed last night in some detail, what we are talking about would amount to essentially isolating Russia completely from the Global Financial System with all of the fallout that that would entail for Russian business, for the Russian people, for their ability to to work and travel and trade, and we are looking at the full suite of options. I think in the... in the context of the diplomacy that we are doing and the work that we're doing internally I was gratified to have a chance to go through some of those specific measures in the classified session yesterday, but going beyond that in this open session I think doesn't um help us get from here to there but we every... everything is on the table I would say if if that is helpful.

One thing that I believe certainly the Senate Foreign Relations Committee is pretty unified on it, may not be unanimous, was our support for sanctions against Nord Stream 2 pipeline and that I think we were all, many of us, were very disappointed that those sanctions were not fully implemented and the construction continued. I can't think of a more powerful way to punish Russian aggression than by rolling back what progress has been made and if at all possible uh prevent the Nord Stream two from ever being completed. Is that something that is being discussed with allies? Is that something that's being contemplated?

Absolutely, and as if as you recall from the July - U.S. German statement, that was very much uh in that statement, that if, that any moves Russian aggression against Ukraine uh would have a direct impact on the pipeline and that is our expectation and the conversation that we're having.

So again, direct impact is one thing but I'm...I'm literally talking about rolling back the the pipeline. You know you can loosely define that, but I mean taking action that will prevent it from ever becoming operational.

I think if President Putin moves on Ukraine, our expectation is that the pipeline will be suspended.

Well, I certainly hope that the Senate Foreign Relations Committee would take up legislation to go beyond just suspending it, but from ending it permanently. But anyway thank you Under Secretary Nuland.

Stop your mendacity!   Our Under Secretary of State Warlord, Vicky Nuland, said it would be stopped and it was.   End of story!

Agree. The insane bloodlusting, the crazy hatred of Russians and and celebrating of their deaths, coupled with wishing and praying for the deaths of some Freepers, doesn't indicate that this person is mentally healthy.

On the other hand, I'm now beginning to consider the possibility that he/she is Slavic, propagandizing to help get Americans directly involved in another Slav on Slav endless, mindless feud and butchery of each other.

On the humorous side, I roared with laughter when I saw that she/he messed up badly by saying that their "husband" had fought and killed Russians. Bwahahaha!

Notice his/her refusal to explain that comment, and the immediate shift to a classic "RevMom" ploy for sympathy to deflect from it.

Zeepers are great entertainment!
