Why is it considered inconsistent that conservatives would like and enjoy sex? I never understood this. While some conservatives may be prudish (and no doubt some liberals are, also), I can't say that the conservatives in my life have been particularly repressed regarding sexuality.
This is a myth that the 'terminally hip' crew love to float on occasion. The fact that the average conservative has some standards of conduct doesn't mean (at all) that they are prudes or otherwise sexually repressed or sexually unimaginative.
I suspect that the other side has a deep need to believe this, for reasons known only to their subconcious minds.
Ok I don't think i fully understand what this guy is trying to say with this. But let me just say this.

I won't bother pinging you to every Morford article, but this seems pretty representative of the immoral/hedonistic/moth-flying-into-a-candle mentality which wants to devour the world.
So to speak. Conservatives - not just the "fiscal" kind - need to know the enemy. Cringing away from them in delicacy will only speed the southerly direction of the handbasket.
So, read it, defeat it.
