It has been noted in Time Magazine that in just about every state there is population of about 21% Latino and 15% to 17% of the 21% are illegal.

Hello, It has been noted in Time Magazine that in just about every state there is population of about 21% Latino and 15% to 17% of the 21% are illegal. The condoning of paying these hard working people under the table is illegal and the fact is they do not have the proper paper to work in USA ( Note: would be doing the same thing if in their shoes ...out looking for work).My issue is with the way Corporate America (Service industries)condones these illegal practices and why the Federal Government does not seem to have a handle on the multiple names (ALIASES) associated with single Social Security Numbers or the original person the Social Security number was issued to is DEAD! This leads me to believe we have no clue as to who is really in the USA. Just the sheer number of Illegal itinerant workers in the USA earns primarily untaxed US dollars and goes back to Mexico or "where ever" is phenomenal. (Remember the attempt to legalize three million illegal itinerate workers in Chicago by President Bush, it was a promise carried over from the Clinton administration). Do some simple math....3 million illegal itinerate workers illegal no taxes paid and let us say they were pulling down five thousand US dollars a year(Just a example I would be willing to bet it's considerably more) and makes its way down to Mexico or "where ever". Now multiply three million by five thousand and comes out to a nifty sum of 15000000000 US dollars untaxed USDs POOF....gone! Let us not forget the US dollars untaxed and collected from the illegal itinerate workers by the Coyotes($500-$3000 per head) and the people who move them too and through the USA(not to mention contraband and other illegal activities). My real GRIPE is this.... folks come over and earns the US dollar without one cent of tax being paid. The flip side of the coin is they will pay the tax and won’t reap the benefits due to they are illegal(lot of grey area here if you get my drift).The middlemen (coyotes) take approximately two thirds per head supplied (illegal itinerate worker)and no taxes paid. Corporations who use them do not have to be accountable other than the contract cost and who they paid on a spreadsheet and trying to hide illegal Itinerant worker when they are working on a job site. This is against the law. The law requires these folks to register when they get into the country (USA). The immigrants are required to register with immigration and obtain proper paper to work and pay taxes per US dollar earned. The people that use the illegal itinerate workers are to follow the Federal Wage and Standards Act, that is the law. The illegal Itinerate worker is to follow the Immigration Laws of the land (IMMIGRATION REFORM AND CONTROL ACT OF 1986).The illegal itinerate workers are being hired by hotel chains, fast food companies(Like we need another heart stopper on the corner anyway) just about anyone who needs cheap source of labor. The companies ignore the fact these folks don’t have the proper Identification and papers. The people doing the hiring don’t question suspect papers. Example, five itinerate workers walk into a place of business looking for work and they all have the same Social Security number and then get dispatched out to five different stores to work illegally. Who are you hiring OSAMA BIN LADEN? That may be over exaggerated but the point is the illegal itinerate workers needs to put into United States Immigration and get the proper papers and if they want become a United States citizen -- go through the United States naturalization process. Labor and Immigration laws are a system of checks and balances in the United States. The laws are in place to protect us not hurt us (all…illegal aliens as well as citizens). I feel real uncomfortable when looking down the road and billions of dollars go untaxed and the Illegal itinerate worker and middlemen (contractors. coyotes) have not been paying taxes. The illegal itinerate worker will get on Social Security and Medicare programs that all USA tax payers put into (FICA). I feel missing the lost revenue is compromising the Social Security and Medicare systems (No Control as to who receive benefits and the lost revenues.....). Noted 12-12-01 in the Greenville News that Bush panel OKs Social Security plan.......suggesting that the younger workers invest there SS into the stock market. The last statement in the article was Commission Members said the current system is financially unstable and needs reform. To start fixing this It's real simple Get the LABOR on top of the table and if they don't have to pay taxes why should I. Remember the IRS will still be taking FICA out if working legally.What are we doing USA? Social Security and Medicare should be USA's Golden Nest EGG and designed to make money and to be paid out to the people who have paid in....What are we doing USA? If an Illegal Itinerate worker has a natural born citizen here why is John Q. taxpayer responsible to educate them(Why do we have to provide teachers that speak their native language?). Now the hard earned taxes by US citizens are being infringed upon once again and spent for someone who has not been putting in or has been paying taxes and can't reap the benefits due to fact they are Illegal (Help these folks become legal by due process of LAW and if they are not suitable citizens send them home). Give the main abusers of the laws a chance to clean up their acts and then prosecute if non compliance with the law. Coyotes, Contractors will go out of business(A Good Thing and probably will just go into dope and prostitution trade and be fined and jailed accordingly) and Corporate Americas will not have a need run their labor under the table. Mexico is a Succubus.One, they are so corrupt what moron thought they could ever develop a middle class in that country without a revolution and two the industrial world sure doesn't want to see a middle class with wages being earned comparable to US wages...they need the cheap and easily trained labor(World Industry will move to China anyway)! Corporate America by indulging in the hiring practices of the illegal itinerate worker has degraded the USA taxpayer to a second class citizen and compromised the Social Security and Medicare systems in the USA via a group of unscrupulous peoples supplying the labor tax-free. Not to mention all the other illegal businesses that go along with this activity (Slave Trade, prostitution, Drugs…Guns and all the other amifications). Why is the Federal Government not able to get a handle on false credentials supplied by the illegal Itinerate worker ? Get the Labor on top of the table! Something really smells here. GET THE LABOR ON TOP OF TABLE AND DO IT BY THE LAW! IF THEY DON"T HAVE TO PAY TAXES WHY SHOULD I?

PS. Help me to understand besides remarks like..shut the hell up or get the hell out, Is there something to hide here.. or will the US citizen do anything for the dollar including compromising their values and integrity as well as the loss of it's identity(are we Americans or United States Americans....I choose the latter)? Just remember SEPT 11, 2001 and how we left the front door open. We now need to start checking the back doors. If we followed the Immigration and Labor laws I believe the events of Sept.11, 2001 would have never happened. What did happen to that 92 or 62 billion dollars that we bailed Mexico's faltering economy out with anyway....does that mean we have to take on their inability to deal with social and economic problems by sending their people to the USA(Like the USA Taxpayor will ever see that money again)?

Good post. People are afraid to be anti illegal immigration because they don't want to be labeled racist. The real problem is that they are here illegally and they cannot legally get a job. That leads to other problems. Politicians, the media, and maybe even some here don't think illegal immigration is a problem. But then everyone praises the government because they fined Wal-Mart for hiring them. You can't have it both ways. Either build a fence and crack down, or completely open the borders.
