Introducing The Dead Kennedy's
Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables. This group was a shocker in the day due to the band's name and hard-core punk sound. My parents, though not thrilled with the Kennedy family, were visibly angered by the name.
The famous song from DK's first album was California Uber Alles. Critics call it an anthem directed toward Governor Jerry Brown's hippy-nazi tendancies (???) but WTH could figure out what was said?
I would file this album and group under tasteless entertainment, certainly not as fun loving as Pooh.
Okay...are we up to 100 tonight?
