Isn't Fentanyl what Patches Kennedy said caused him to crash his automobile? And I always thought Fentanyl was a date-rape drug!

See the movie "Brick". A great film noir set in a southern California high school with nary a swear word used.

If it's in Detroit, it might as well be in Ohio....

I will admit one thing about the recent tragedies surrounding this:
We know each death was due to using illegal drugs.
It's a sad way to find out who is supporting the drug cartels.

Fentanyl is a painkiller, for cancer patients is is used as a patch

Heroin addicts are dying by the bushel.
If there is a downside to this, I haven't seen it yet.

I agree with William W. John about liberals and junkies.

This is terrible, whatever will the city do if there is a junkie shortage?

They could always import them. Find some group to do the needle drugs Americans won't do.
Disclaimer: Not a hijack attempt. Just that it seems the only people in my city doing horse are hispanic.

Authorities there have confirmed 100 fentanyl/heroin deaths. Another 60 were confirmed in the Chicago area. Who would have thought you could die from shooting heroin?

What I can't understand is why would dealers be killing off their customers?

What I can't understand is why would dealers be killing off their customers
Granted, this is unlikely, but could it be a form of terrorism? I honestly don't know where heroin comes from, but if its an opiate, than the ME would be a source...

Is this where all the Libertarians post that if we allowed this to all be legal there would be heaven on earth?

What I can't understand is why would dealers be killing off their customers? It's not intentional. Drug dealers ain't the smartest out there. There was an incident a while back (10+ years) where a guy killed himself while running a meth lab.
Turns out he'd failed chemistry twice in high school. SO WHY WAS THE IDJIT RUNNING A METH LAB?

Is this where all the Libertarians post that if we allowed this to all be legal there would be heaven on earth? I'm not a libertarian, but if it were legal the contents and potency would be known.
People are mistakenly injecting a drug many times stronger than what they are used to doing. You may think they deserve to die for their drug use, but you can't blame the lack of quality control on an illict substance on people who would rather see it legalized and controlled.
I don't remember the last time I read about someone being blinded by drinking methanol that was in the whiskey they bought at a state liquor store.

No, but some of the victims would likely go to Heaven.
