THE OBAMA EGO TAKES A HIT!
The Edisto Joe Outlook ^ | 11/04/2009 | Edisto Joe

According to White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, the President was busy with other matters last night and wasn't really concerned with election results. Although one would find that hard to believe, in Obama's case it might be true. He has shown a remarkable ability to ignore events that surround him, tea parties, town halls, Afghanistan, to name a few. It's amazing how the Administration can wave off important events effecting the country in the same manner that Obama swatted a fly during an interview. Nonchalantly dismissing anything that doesn't go their way as unimportant.

Truth be known, Obama's ego suffered a terrible blow last night. The GOP win in Virginia was to be expected, but the defeat in New Jersey shows his Divine intervention and star power don't cut it with the voters as they did a short 12 months ago. There is no way he wasn't glued to the tube waiting to see if he still had that magical draw power to win over the electorate. He didn't have to wait long for the answer. The blow was struck but the ego was only shaken. The real test will come when Blue Dog Democrats hit the campaign trail in 2010 and how closely they align themselves with the President and his policies. We may get a glimpse of what's to come in the battle over health care and the environmental bills in Congress.

As for the GOP? The Democrats will take their victory in the New York 23rd as a sign that they still connect with the people and portray the Republicans as a party in turmoil. While there can be no doubt the RNCC shoulders much of the blame for Hoffman's loss, the race clearly showed that conservative values are still alive and well with voters and can carry candidates to victory.

If that campaign had Hoffman as the Republican candidate from the start we could have been looking at 3-0 this morning. The fact that Hoffman almost pulled it off is a very encouraging sign for 2010 and the GOP needs to look long and hard on who they choose to back in the future.

Robert Gibbs can put his best spin on this to the press but the truth is out there. The President may still be a popular guy. The kind of fellow you could have a beer with on the White House lawn, but his policies leave much to be desired by the public and no matter how they spin it, the results at the polls prove them wrong.

He wasn’t watching the results. He was watching a documentary about himself.

Which - if the TV had been invented - is what Hitler would have been doing in the bunker.

OBAMA EGO TAKES A HIT!

Eh, would take a tactical nuke to put a dent in an ego THAT large.

I doubt he cares. He has little people who do the worrying for him.

Please note that I didn't say this was a SMART position to take....just that it's his position, I'm sure.

It’s all about the O — at least in his own mind.

Obama sticks his fingers in those big ears and loudly shouts...”LALALALALALALALALALALALALALA”.

I’m sure he’ll reconcile the losses with the fact that he just didn’t campaign enough for Deeds and Corzy.

Next time he’ll try more of the same but harder and louder.

According to White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, the President was busy with other matters last night and wasn't really concerned with election results.

Oh please-----Ohaha was totally invested in the NJ race. Fact is, the WH is sucking up valium and vodka in order to anesthetize themselves from the pain in the aftermath of the Republican rout.....trying to convince themselves the election was not a referendum on Obama.

Losing New Jersey was the tipping point---this was an election the WH could not afford to lose. The Corzine loss was a debacle for Ohaha.

Pulling out all the stops for Corzine made Ohaha a VERY good target for Americans disgusted with Ohaha’s policies. At the same time Dem Corzine’s corrupt governorship was also a huge negative.

HERE'S HOW DESPERATE THE OVOMITONS WERE TO WIN NJ Obama went to New Jersey three times---Biden was there twice.

The NY Times reported:

(a) every TV ad Corzine put on the air was being screened by Obama's WH team.

(b) Corzine's aides gave the WH daily briefings.

(c) Obama’s pollsters took over for Corzine’s polling team, and,

(d) White House operatives were on the ground for everything from internal strategy sessions to secret, obscure pep rallies with Latinoes, (still toweling off after swimming the Rio Grande).

Corzine had a "Peruvian PAC" endorsing him. Latino invaders from Ecuador, Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Puerto Rico and Spain are currently "registered" to vote in NJ (or being trucked in election day) under several names.......all voting for Corzine under several identities. Ohaha’s Chicago buddies are experts in mfg the votes needed to win. Stashing piles of votes that “suddenly appear” in used pizza boxes.......... and scribbling “Vota Corzine” on Taco Bell wrappers.

Ohaha hid $17.5 BILLION stimulus in NJ---it disappeared and could not be found ----b/c the stimulus was intended for Corzine's reelection kitty.

NOTE The WH still has not spent 85% of the stim----buzz is Ohaha is saving it for Dem candidates 2010 elections.

AFTERMATH The White House is sucking up valium and vodka to anesthetize themselves. Rahm Enanuel's plieing like crazy. Mmm, mm, mmm....... I just can't wait to see the post-election Ohaha ........... smiling through his electoral castration. ROTFL.

Harken to the White House's frantic spinning...”the elections weren’t about us...except the one we won, that one's all about us, that one proves that the whole country loves us, and wants socialized medicine.”

(Snicker) Now we know why Harry Reid came out yesterday to lessen expectations that the healthcare mess would be voted on........the WH knew they were headed into a Republican storm.

The tsunami is ahead.....in 2010. Ohaha can say goodbye to trillion dollar healthcare "reform"....nothing more than a slush fund to redistribute the wealth to enrich his hand-picked Marxists.

Gibbs fatuous statement---that Ohaha was busy with other matters last night and wasn't really concerned with election results------underlines that the Ovomitons are on mood-altering drugs. No matter what catastrophe befalls them, Ohaha and the mob are grinning, glad-handing, quipping, smirking.....acting like nothing happened. Quaaludes sucked down w/ vodka is doing it for 'em.

As Rush so succinctly put it today, our pantywaist Prez. was probably chain smoking and/or shooting hoops last night.
I would suggest that maybe a little nose candy was in order as well.

You’re right on about the stim money funneled to Dems for 2010. That’s one of the reasons Republicans are trying to attach that money to other proposals in Congress. Watch where that money goes next year. Buying votes for liberals!

It’s pretty fundamental, actually. A narcissist just ignores whatever might be seen by others as a message. He is completely convinced he is superior, right, and annointed.
