Sarah Palin said Wednesday that the embattled chairman of the Republican National Committee (RNC) is "doing a great job."

During an appearance on conservative commentator Sean Hannity's show on the Fox News Channel, Palin said, "I support Michael Steele.... I think he's doing a great job. Michael Steele is an outsider. The machine, I think, is tough to penetrate... I think it's been good to have an independent outsider trying to create some change in the Republican Party."

The former Alaska governor's remarks are in sharp contrast to the comments of other leading Republicans, who have criticized Steele in recent months.

Do you support RINO McCain or not? Who served or didn’t serve bears no basis for argument here. Ever hear of J.D.Hayworth? Why don’t you read up on him. He has a 98% conservative rating. He has profound respect for the military, and has a life long provable record to back it up. McCain is public enemy #1 to conservatives(PATRIOTIC AMERICANS). Now, where do you stand?

This whole “if you didn’t serve in the military” your opinion doesn’t count is a bunch of crap, former Senator George McGovern was a B-24 bomber pilot during World War II, does that validate his political views more than anyone else? And current Senator Tom Harkin, he ferried jet planes to and from Vietnam and Japan (among other places) during the Vietnam War, does that make his leftist policies worthy of greater consideration?
