Be fair; Steele was asked if racial bias “added” (IIRC) to his “difficulties” (IIRC). It was a yes or no question about a deliberately ambiguous subject, and a trick one intended to throw him to the dogs of conservatives. If this is the closest that Steele ever gets to touching the race card, the GOP is quite blessed. Please don’t fall for the media trolling.

He could have given a good political answer - and avoided the question. Why didn’t he? Why are we cursed with people that *have* to answer such a question, exactly as asked...at least most of the politically saavy RATS are able to avoid answering trap questions (well traps in their minds) straight away.
In this game for keeps with the RAT press - that is a MUST for our leadership. They should NEVER trust a RAT pressers question. As others have said about Steele’s race card comments - should have never done the interview, and if you do the interview, you remain saavy and don’t allow Stepha-snuffalufagus to go there.
He could have said ‘NO’ but he doesnt believe it is 'no'. How did BoB and Steele get their jobs if the country is so racist?(question to Steele)
Steele is a liberal republican from Maryland who like Keyes ran for Senate there(a liberal state with many black voters) and lost. He got the RNC job by appearing on Hannity each night, or it looked that way anyway.
Nothing ambiguous about it. Heck, when even White House Press Secretary, Robert Gibbs, calls Steele out on it for playing the race card, then you know you are uintroble.
Robert Gibbs:
“I think Michael Steele's problem is not the race card, it's the credit card.”
Even the moronic Gibbs get sit.
