US Ambassador Nikki Haley has called for international action to address the crisis in Venezuela, after a US-backed proposal for regional mediation failed to win support at the Organization of American States. (The US-backed proposal failed to overcome opposition from the 14 similar national jurisdictions that benefit from turmoil and discounted Venezuelan oil.) "The tragic situation in Venezuela calls out for action. The Venezuelan people are starving while their government tramples their democracy".

Well that is just some of the reason ..for sure. If you’re accustomed to getting fed by other than your own hands it’s real easy to kick back and do nothing.
And yes I see this with the entitlement mentality here in the states and not just with the youth. There’s a reason everybody’s getting fat here! Our young people are so out of shape they better get health insurance early!
The poor wanted socialism... but Chavez destroyed businesses too, which has resulted in the economic collapse. And his family and friends got rich while he did it.

Well they often do...just as they do here in our country if they’re on welfare etc.
Chavez was bad news from the beginning....he wanted the wealth he knew was attainable for himself....also like many of our politicians covet here.
