Now we have angry loudmouths with names like O’Reilly, Hannity, Buchanan, and, lurking back there with his Cheshire smile, the dissolute but scary Bannon.
Yet no one has noticed this obvious fact, and the sheer lack of attention may be the most important thing about it. Why has the ascent of a bunch of people who in an earlier period might have been called Micks drawn no notice at all? […]

What the writer misses is the commonality among the people he names.
Regardless of Ethnicity , for the most part they are people whose ancestors and they have been derided and belittled in America. You can add the Italians into the mix and even the few Poles in America.
But what they have in common generally is a pugnacity and soul/ characterformed by generations steeped in old time Catholicism, which gives them a sense of justice and knowledge of the culture of the West (big W). They are not homogeneous in belief, but they are scrappers and America needs them.
I’m proud Scots-Irish-Welsh-Cherokee with flamin’ red hair. Most importantly.......I am an AMERICAN! This writer can kiss my lily white @ss.

Lawrence O’Donnell started this I believe. I think the plan on the Left is to “shame” Irish-Americans into silence if not obedience.
We Irish might have been a bit slow in recognizong the Democrats as enemies but we get it now.

An Irishman finds a lamp, and when he polishes it, a genie emerges. The genie says, “I am the genie of the lamp! I will grant you three wishes... on second thought, two wishes, because I’ve been stuck in this lamp for a very long tome, and I’m taking one of the wishes for myself. So, what is your first wish?”
The Irishman says, “I’d love to have a mug of sweet ale that’s never empty.”
The genie waves his hand, and a mug full of delicious ale appears in the Irishman’s hand. He puts it to his lips and drains it in one pull. The mug immediately refills with ale. The Irishman’s eyes open wide in delight and amazement, and he exclaims, “Oh, this is wonderful!”, and drains it again, and again it refills itself.
The genie, growing somewhat impatient, says, “Ok, ok, what’s your other wish?”
Without hesitation, the Irishman raises the mug and says, “I wish I had another one of these!”
