I think your update is the same one that is bugging my system
November 30, 2017—KB4051963 (OS Build 16299.98)
That is the one that failed to install on my Windows 10 PC..it actually downloaded fully, rebooted, but then said that the update failed..I tried checking for updates hoping it would try to install again but says “No new updates”
What’s weird is that this update says its for AMD64..my PC is NOT AMD, its Intel so not sure why it even downloaded this update

OK, mine is also an INTEL, so I will just cancel this update.

I think I’ll ask granddaughter to first look into the “update” to see if she can deduce its particulars.

Correct you are. The one I was referencing was 1703, the last update. 1709 is a forced update that - yep, 16299.64 - it's the one I'm downloading now. Verrry Slooowly.

This is simply out of control. Microsoft needs to clean up its QA badly, really, really badly.
