The F-16 was developed in response to the MIG-21 and its effectiveness as a dog fighter in the Vietnam War.

It is a very good plane but it is dated now. I have also read reports that NK has cut way back on their pilot’s flying time due to limited fuel supplies. Throw in quality of maintenance and training and that about gives you the present status of the NK air force.

If we go to war, the North Korean Air Force will die on the ground.

Dated now? It was dated 30 years ago. Fishbed is an apt name, because it’s pilot is fertilizer against any Western country flying current generations planes.

True. But then the NVAF never really used the MiG-21 as a dogfighter. They used them as point interceptors on blow-thru attacks. They’d run-in on a bomber formation, shoot & scoot. The MiG-17 & Mig-19’s were the planes that would mix it up in turning fights.

” cut back on their pilot’s flying time”

Perhaps their pilots are infested with parasitic worms like their elite boarder guards.
