Extreme parenting...
Reminds me of the father that executed his teenage son in a random parking because of the son’s depraved activity with children. The father reported how his son pleaded for his life and forgiveness.

I don’t think the bible was instructing a parent to do that to their child.

The son was 18 and had a job and purchased his own phone.
The boy was probably shocked that there other options besides sheep and goats.
